Central Gauteng A and Western Province A shot to the top of Pool A and Pool B respectively on Sunday, the first day of the u19 Girls’ Schools Water Polo South Africa (SWPSA) Inter-Provincial Tournament (IPT) at St Stithians College.

The host province, Central Gauteng A, is hunting for a fourth consecutive IPT title, and they made their intentions clear with dominant wins over Buffalo City and Western Province B.

“The girls are locked in and are dedicated to the tournament. We have the drive to do it again, but winning a fourth title in a row is not our focus at the moment. We have it at the back of our heads, but you have to take the right steps to get there, so we are taking it chukka by chukka,” Kelsey Thomson, the Central Gauteng A head coach, told SuperSport Schools Plus.

True to Thomson’s words, Gauteng A dominated each of the eight chukkas they contested.

The defending champions opened their account with a rampaging 20-4 win over Buffalo City in which Emma Pelicot and Anastasia Hambakis ran riot with four goals apiece, while Julia Joseph added three more.

Thomson’s charges were even more ruthless in their second match, thumping Western Province B 20-2. Amy Stubbs led the way with four goals, while Carle and Blaauw recorded hat-tricks, and Pelicot, Joseph, Mosehla, and Scrimgeour chipped in two goals each. Hambakis and Isabella Imbriolo rounded off the scorers with a goal each.

Samantha Miller and Jemma Pearse replied for Western Province B.

Western Province A began with fixtures that their coach, Connor Whiting, cited as two of their toughest. They went up against Central Gauteng B and KwaZulu-Natal and won both to take the lead in Pool B with the maximum six points.

Bella Murray spearheaded the charge for Province with a hat-trick in their 12-6 win over Gauteng B, while Kirsten Böttger and Julia Luckhoff added a brace each.

“Playing at altitude, especially the first game, is always difficult. So, I am happy with the way the girls played in the first two games,” Whiting said.

Their match against KZN was much closer. Coach Cameron Wiid‘s ladies gave Province a good run for their money before eventually falling to a 10-13 defeat.

Bella Murray continued with her hot hand, this time scoring four times, while Luckhoff chipped in with a hat-trick and Böttger added a brace.

Inge Southey, Erin Mayoss, and Inez Letschert scored a brace each in reply for KZN.

“KZN is always a tough side to play against. I am happy with how we were controlling the game, controlling the momentum, and how we stayed composed,” Whiting reckoned.

Like all teams competing at the IPT, Province has one eye on the trophy. However, Whiting is impressing upon his charges the importance of sticking to their structures and focusing on playing great water polo, while having as much fun as possible.

Gauteng A will be aiming to make it three wins in three outings when they face Nelson Mandela Bay in the first match on Monday morning. Western Province tackles Northerns immediately afterwards.

Day two of IPT sizzles with goals and intense derby clashes

There were provincial rivalries, a bucket loads of goals, and entertaining water polo on display on Sunday, day two of the Schools Water Polo South Africa (SWPSA) Inter-Provincial Tournament (IPT) in Johannesburg.

After a heart-pounding start on Saturday, the teams returned to action at St David’s Marist Inanda‘s Jubilee Pool, intent on staking their claims for top honours.

In one of the key matchups in Pool A, the defending champions, Central Gauteng A, squared up against local rivals, Central Gauteng B.

Both teams had recorded victories on Saturday, beating Nelson Mandela Bay and Buffalo City, respectively.

It was an enticing clash with Gauteng supporters split in half for the four chukkas.

The A-side dominated territory and made their counterparts pay after a quiet first chukka. James Crick, Nicholas Searle, and Cooper Haworth all scored hat-tricks on their way to a 13-7 victory.

Connor McJannet, Declan Wood, Danilo Giuricich, and Simon Mussett were also on the scoreboard for coach Jon-Marc De Carvalho‘s side, while Luke Shipway scored thrice for Central Gauteng B.

In their second match of the day, Gauteng A brushed aside Buffalo City 19-5. They’ll head into day three’s clash against the Aussie Crocs brimming with confidence.

Another interesting derby that played out was the Eastern Cape derby between Nelson Mandela Bay (NMB) and Buffalo City.

NMB were impressive on day one, showing grit and spirit in an intense 8-10 loss against Central Gauteng A.

The boys, led by coach Daniel Ward, were favoured to win, but they had to work for the three points after Buffalo City put up a valiant fight in the first half.

After the first two chukkas, NMB led 4-2, courtesy of goals by Carter Rosser, Oliver Martin, Coel Trollip, and the dangerous Calum Emslie.

They increased their lead by two in the third chukka before outscoring the East London side by four goals in the fourth chukka to seal the win.

“Yesterday’s game [against Central Gauteng A] proved that we deserve to compete with the top sides,” NMB head coach Daniel Ward said after the game.

“The result didn’t go our way, but we had good momentum, and I told the boys to just carry that momentum into the derby. It was a slow start, but we’ll take the win.

“There’s still a lot of work to do. It’s a long tournament. Day three will be the test against Central Gauteng B, so hopefully we will be up for it.”

Western Province A also impressed on Sunday, bagging two wins.

The Devon Card-coached side defeated the Aussie Crocs 12-10 in a nail-biter before thumping their provincial counterparts, Western Province B, 17-6, late on.

Luke Burger and Matt Fenn were on fire against WP B, scoring four goals each, while Aidan Turrell netted a hat-trick, and Benjamin Bigara scored a brace.

The usual suspects – Andrew Reynolds, Tim Young, Luke Cartwright, and Blake Brown – were also on the scoresheet as Province ended the day on a high.

“It’s great to have the Aussie Crocs here. It brings an international feel about it,” coach Card said after his side’s first game of the day.

“I have to give it to them. They came out hard, and I don’t think we expected that kind of intensity and pressure from them, especially from their tight press, but when you come down to IPT, there aren’t any easy games.

“We want to have tough games, especially in the pool stages, so we can get ready for when it matters in the quarters, semis, and finals. Today was great preparation for what lies ahead against KZN A. It doesn’t get any easier from here.”

Speaking of KZN, they were far from their best on day two but still sealed two victories.

In their first outing, they Western Province B 13-5 before having to work their socks off against Northerns.

Coach Rob Ambler‘s charges were under the pump against the boys from Pretoria but held on to secure a nervy 14-13 win.

In other matches, Zimbabwe bagged their first win, defeating Eden Districts. Meanwhile, KZN B enjoyed a fantastic day, picking up three victories.

Monday’s action begins with a humdinger between KwaZulu-Natal A and Western Province A at 07:00.

A very busy day in the u13 boys’ Schools Water Polo South Africa (SWPSA) Inter-Provincial Tournament saw 18 matches being played at St David’s Marist Inanda and St John’s College, in Johannesburg, on Sunday.

In a big shock, Western Province B handed KwaZulu-Natal A a 10-8 defeat. Last year, KZN won the u13 title, but Sunday’s loss was their second already, with Central Gauteng A also beating KZN A on Saturday.

Likely title contenders, Western Province A and Central Gauteng A played only once each on Sunday and both smoothly handled business. Province outplayed Central Gauteng B 14-4, while Central Gauteng A kept Buffalo City A off the scoresheet, charging their way to an 18-0 victory.

Jordan Meiring, of Eden Districts, caught the eye, lighting up Eastern Gauteng A for eight goals. He also scored five against both Northerns B and Nelson Mandela Bay B, helping his side to three wins on the day, and to four on the trot in total.

    u13 Girls

In a key showdown in the girls’ u13 competition, Central Gauteng A slipped by KZN, winning 4-3.

Western Province A cruised to one-sided wins over Eastern Gauteng and Buffalo City A, winning those contests by 16 and 12 goals respectively.

Sarah Mocke starred for Province, netting seven times against Buffalo City and five times against Eastern Gauteng A.

    u16 Boys

Sunday’s action in the u16 boys’ section of the Schools Water Polo South Africa (SWPSA) Inter-Provincial Tournament, taking place in Johannesburg, was highlighted by a couple of games involving Northerns, who challenged two of the big guns but, eventually, came up short.

They stretched Central Gauteng A to the limit, with the home side eventually sneaking a 5-4 win and then gave a good account of themselves in a 6-12 loss to KwaZulu-Natal (KZN). KZN, also, blanked Northerns B 16-0.

Western Province A won by nine goals against Buffalo City, 13-4, with James Swart scoring five times.

They also swamped Zimbabwe 21-3. Kieran Bennewith led the way in that big win, firing seven goals into the back of the Zimbabwean net.

Western Province B picked up two wins, too, outplaying Zimbabwe 15-2 and overpowering Central Gauteng B 14-6 in a key test of the provinces’ B sides.

    u16 Girls

In a big showdown in the girls’ u16 competition, at Kingsmead College, Central Gauteng A held off KwaZulu-Natal, claiming a hard-fought 9-8 victory. They also opened proceedings with a 9-4 defeat of Eden Districts.

Western Province A also went two for two. They downed Buffalo City 11-4 but found Central Gauteng B a tough nut to crack and had to settle for a battling 8-5 win.

In an Eastern Cape rivalry clash, Buffalo City got by Nelson Mandela Bay 5-4.

  • Lions the only team to win all their CSA u17 Rural Week pool games

Saturday’s third round of T20 matches at the CSA u17 Rural Week concluded with the Lions becoming the only team to win their three pool matches.

Boland also remained unbeaten, but their game against KZN Coastal on Saturday afternoon was abandoned due to rain.

Once again, runs were hard to come by, with only one batsman making a fifty. During the pool matches, there were just three in three rounds in total.

Lukhanyo Nkomonye, however, struck an undefeated 42 from 47 balls to help steer Kei to a seven-wicket victory over Limpopo, in a match in which only one other batsman made it into the twenties.

Limpopo, led by Marcus Ngobeni‘s 37, posted 90 all out, with Bulumko Didi capturing 3/2 and Ahlumile Honono 3/27. Kei, then, replied with 92/3, which was the most comfortable run chase yet put together at the Rural Week.

Matters were much tighter in the clash between North West and the Northern Cape, with North West totalling 89 all out and coming up four runs short of Northern Cape’s 93/9.

Candin Coetzee, the sixth bowler introduced into the Northern Cape attack, won them the match by knocking back 3/18 in two overs, which included bowling André Dreyer, who had appeared to be playing a match-winning innings. He hit seven fours and a six in making 57 from 47 deliveries, while North West’s next best score was Otlotleng Modise‘s nine.

Three batsmen in succession were dismissed for ducks – two of them by Liam Laing – as North West slipped from 64/3 to 89 all out in 6.4 overs.

In a tightly contested Eastern Cape derby, Eastern Cape Iinyathi number six, Akhanya Bontsi, got the runs flowing after a slow start from his peers, contributing an unbeaten 30 off 25 as the team from the Border region tallied 84/6 from their 20 overs.

In the run chase, Milani Manya troubled the Eastern Province (EP) batsmen, snapping up 3/12 in four overs. But Jordan Damons, whose wicket-taking tally reached 10 after only three matches, showed he’s no mug with the bat either, making 23 not out as EP reached 67/5 after 15 overs.

Unfortunately, that’s when rain came down, and the match was decided on the Duck-Lewis-Stern (DLS) Method, with Eastern Province being declared the winners by just six runs.

The Lions’ bowlers set them up for their third win on the trot, dismissing KZN Inland for only 71 in 17.5 overs. Thabiso Mosebi starred, with an outstanding return of 3/9 from four overs.

It took the Lions 15 overs to overhaul the Inland total, and they did it with four wickets to spare. Mosebi was again to the fore, making a patient 23 not out from 42 balls, while Farhaan Patel played his part with 20 from 31. Sisekelo Dlamini snared 2/2 in one over for Inland, and Stuart Talanda claimed 2/13 in three.

Batting first at Uplands College, Mpumalanga made a poor start against Free State. The home side was on 12/3 in the fourth over when Hendré Nel made his way to the crease. However, together with Andries Coetzer, he reversed the momentum of the contest, with the duo sharing a 49-run fourth-wicket partnership off 36 deliveries.

Coetzer played it cool, yet he still walloped six fours in his otherwise conservative 29 off 33 balls. Nel, in contrast, played with aggression, launching three sixes and a four in an explosive 26 off 12. Their vital partnership helped Mpumalanga to 104/8.

Liam Singleton led the Free State attack, with 3/21 from four overs, while Dumisani Johnson kept the Mpumalanga batsmen in check with his 2/11 in four.

In reply, the Free Staters were bowled out for 86 in the final over of their innings. Zander Fourie, with 23, and Nhlonhla Debese, with 20, shared a 44-run stand for the fifth wicket in eight overs.

Ziyad Patel returned a very tidy 2/8 from his four overs, while Najmul Mustafa bagged 2/4 from one over as Mpumalanga won by 18 runs.

At Hoërskool Nelspruit, the match between Boland and KZN Coastal was rained out in the twelfth over, with Coastal on 49/5. Karel Hugo rocked the KZN side with 3/7 in only 1.3 overs.

    Summarised Scorecards

Mpumalanga 104/8 (Andries Coetzer 29, Hendré Nel 26; Liam Singleton 3/21, Dumisani Johnson 2/11); Free State 86/10 (Zander Fourie 23, Nhlonhla Debese 20; Najmul Mustafa 2/4, Ziyad Patel 2/8, Hendré Nel 2/19). Mpumalanga won by 18 runs.

Lions 72/6 (Thabiso Mosebi 23*, Farhaan Patel 20; Sisekelo Dlamini 2/2, Stuart Talanda 2/13); KZN Inland 71/10 (Thabiso Mosebi 3/9, Bokamoso Bantjie 2/15). Lions won by four wickets.

Northern Cape 93/9 (Ayaan Chaudhary 3/19, Jürgen Hesse 2/12, André Dreyer 2/17); North West 89/10 (André Dreyer 57; Candin Coetzee 3/18, Liam Laing 2/2, Janko Noeth 2/8). Northern Cape won by four runs.

Eastern Cape Iinyathi 84/6 (Akhanya Bontsi 30*; Enrique Strydom 2/18); Eastern Province 67/5 (Jordan Damons 23*; Milani Manya 3/12). Eastern Province won by six runs (DLS Method).

Limpopo 90/10 (Marcus Ngobeni 37; Bulumko Didi 3/2, Ahlumile Honono 3/27, Lukhanyo Nkomonye 2/13); Border Kei 92/3 (Lukhanyo Nkomonye 42*; Hlulani Maluleke 2/24). Border Kei won by seven wickets.

KZN Coastal 49/5; Boland 0/0. Match abandoned due to rain.

The Central Gauteng u19A boys got their Schools Water Polo South Africa (SWPSA) Inter-Provincial Tournament (IPT) title defence off to a shaky start, edging out Nelson Mandela Bay (NMB) 10-8 on Saturday in Johannesburg.

The hosts were far from their best, but they got the job done in the Jubilee Pool, in front of a packed crowd, at St David’s Marist Inanda.

Catch the action LIVE on SuperSport Schools

They were pushed hard by a spirited NMB side, and it took moments of magic from three players in the final chukka to seal the win.

After a frantic start to the game, the home side led 5-3 at the break, thanks to goals by Simon Mussett (2), Chris Chapman, Erik Arwidi, and their skipper Nicholas Searle.

The second half was a totally different ball game. NMB came out firing, eager to cause an upset.

They conceded two more goals but clawed their way back into the game to end the quarter tied at 7-7 with Calum Emslie leading their charge.

NMB’s shot-stopper, Jacques Du Toit, was also influential, and he pulled off some eye-catching saves to keep his team in the contest.

It came down to the final quarter. Calm heads were needed, and Gauteng’s players rose to the challenge.

Searle gave his team the lead again, and the momentum shifted when James Crick made it 9-7. Cooper Haworth scored a late five-metre penalty to take Central Gauteng’s total into double figures.

Despite the loss, Nelson Mandela Bay sent a message to other teams that they’re not to be underestimated and came away from the contest with their reputation enhanced.

Another game that was of high interest on the opening day was the clash between KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) A and the Aussie Crocs.

In 2024, the Aussie Crocs stunned KZN in East London, so coach Rob Ambler‘s side knew they were in for a tough examination.

It was a tightly contested affair from the first to the final chukka, but KZN produced some outstanding moments during which they played incredible water polo.

They were, at times, superb in front of goal, with Adrian Truter and Thomas Francke keeping the scorers busy.

It was tight in the final chukka, with the Crocs clawing their way back into the game and, with three minutes to play, they trailed by only two goals.

KZN, however, showed class and maturity and held on for a three-goal win, much to the satisfaction of coach Ambler.

“It’s always good to beat the Crocs,” he told SuperSport Schools Plus after the game. “They were with us for a week before this tournament, and it’s always been close against them.

“I think we were far too rushed in our build-ups, and we let ourselves down in the final chukka.

“But this is a new team. They still haven’t got used to the way I coach, but we will get there. But I’m happy with where we are at the moment.”

While Gauteng and KZN recorded victories, Western Province A also made a tick in the win column, subjecting Northerns to a baptism of fire, with Province powering their way to a 20-7 victory.

Matt Fenn and Benjamin Bigara led the way, scoring four and five goals respectively, while Andrew Reynolds, Jandro Rojo-Roos, and Cole Abrahams all bagged braces.

In another interesting battle on the opening day, Central Gauteng B defeated Buffalo City 15-9.

It was a well-contested affair. Gauteng B was pushed to their limits, but a flurry of goals in the fourth chukka secured the win.

Mukhetwa Maemu was a man on a mission and netted four times for Gauteng, while David Latilla-Campbell bagged a hat-trick.

Matthew Cross and Luke Shipway contributed a brace each before strikes by Samuel Gomes, Matthew Peacock, Troy Pasqualle, and Ryan Morley took the game out of reach of Buffalo City.

Buffalo City received a heroic effort from veteran Thomas Caswell, who scored six of his side’s nine goals.

“These games are really long, and I think what we showed today is that, as a team, you really need to grind them out,” Central Gauteng B head coach Thabang Madi told SuperSport Schools Plus.

“You can’t think you’ve won it or lost in the first half. We saw that in the last chukka when we finally got away from them.”

Madi and his troops will next turn their attention to a massive clash against Central Gauteng A on day two at 10:15.

“We want to be as competitive as we possibly can,” he said when asked about the match with their local rivals. We know we are a B-side, so no game is going to be easy.

“We might concede a lot, but we have it in us to score a lot as well. We won’t give up, and we’ll play until the final whistle.”

Day two’s action kicks off early on Sunday morning with a meeting between Eden Districts and Zimbabwe at 07:00.

  • Only three teams unbeaten after two matches at CSA u17 Rural Week

Only three teams unbeaten after two matches at CSA u17 Rural Week

On Friday, no chasing outfit won their match at the CSA u17 Rural Week, which is being hosted in White River and Mbombela, Mpumalanga.

Boland became the first team to buck that trend on Saturday morning, chasing down Free State‘s 79/7 in 20 overs with five balls to spare, and finishing on 80/7.

Liam Singleton made it a difficult chase for the Boland boys, capturing 4/15 in four overs, but a patient 38 from 57 balls by opener, Noah Goliath, guided the Western Cape side to a tight victory.

Goliath’s 38 was the second-highest score of the match. Free State number four, Albie Swart, made a similar contribution, weighing in with an unbeaten 39 from 58 deliveries.

As was the case on day one, day two produced only one half-century and one five-for. Both came in the KZN Coastal versus Eastern Cape Iinyathi fixture.

Coastal opening batsman, Kian Topham, faced 70 deliveries and came close to scoring at a run a ball, making 66, which was the highest score yet at the tournament. His effort, and 31 from Jordan Gopaul, helped the KZN side to 128/7 from their 20 overs.

In reply, the Iinyathi mustered just 80 all out. Their chase was severely hampered by Heinrich Hattingh, who knocked over 5/21 in four overs. He received sound backing from Sahl Peerbhay, who snapped up 3/13.

Kei became the second side to win while chasing. They restricted KZN Inland to 97/8 and replied with 98/5 in 17.3 overs to record a five-wicket win.

Lukhanyo Nkononye struck an unbeaten 30 and Bunye Mdumba chipped in with 25 for Inland, but Sanele Mphathelwa laid waste to the KZN side’s top order, removing three of the top four batsmen, on his way to a superb 4/10 from his four overs.

Dillon Guelpa, then, anchored Kei’s successful run pursuit, smashing three fours and a six in his hasty 34 from 29 deliveries. Waleed Ghafoor claimed 3/17, but it wasn’t enough to prevent his side tumbling to a second successive defeat.

Hendré Nel picked up 2/16 in four overs and Ziyad Patel returned 2/11 in three as Mpumalanga limited the Northern Cape to only 87/7 in their 20 overs, with Janko Noeth’s 21 the best the batting side could muster.

It wasn’t an especially impressive total, but some splendid bowling ensured it was more than enough as Northern Cape blasted through the home side’s batting, sending them packing after only 14 overs for 56.

Bowling three overs each, Schalk Human removed three batsmen for 14 runs and Senzo Fillies claimed 3/18, while Noeth followed up his crucial innings with 2/15 from four. Hendré Nel, with 18 not out from only 13 balls, was the lone batsman to exit single figures.

The Lions’ 138/6 was the highest total of the morning session, and the third highest of the tournament so far. The third man to the crease, Ruben Muller, smashed three fours and three sixes in his 45 off 47, while the next man in, Bokamoso Bantjie bashed four fours in his 36 off 33.

North West was limited to only 107/6 in response, which left the Lions the comfortable winners by 31 runs.

In the morning session’s remaining match, Limpopo totalled just 75/9, but that was enough for them to score a 17-run win over Eastern Province (EP).

Only two batsmen, Logan Jansen van Rensburg, with 13, and AJ Galloway, with 11 not out, made it into the teens for Limpopo, but EP did themselves no favours, especially in such a low-scoring game, by conceding 22 extras.

Jordan Damons, who knocked over 5/12 on Friday in Eastern Province’s win over Northern Cape, was again to the fore, taking 4/11 in three overs.

Eastern Province looked on track for victory when their reply reached 38/3 in the 10th over, but they crashed to 48/8 in the space of only 15 balls and were eventually all out for 58 after only 12.5 overs.

AJ Galloway nabbed 3/10 and Fayzaan Ramdala removed three batsmen for 17 runs as Limpopo executed an astonishing reversal of their fortunes.

With the win, they joined the Lions and Boland as the only unbeaten sides after the first two rounds of matches.

Western Province B bags big win at girls’ u13 IPT, hosts light up boys’ competition

    Girls

There was next to nothing to separate the sides, who finished level at 5-5. Buffalo City, however, claimed the win after a penalty shootout.

Jade Sansom scored twice for the winners in regulation time, while Mataiah Smith did the same for Nelson Mandela Bay A.

Central Gauteng C were the top scorers on the opening day, putting 18 past Eastern Gauteng B, with Keira Gordon-Bennett slotting five times and Blye Mitchell netting four. Sonali Singh scored Easterns’ lone goal.

The biggest splash was made by Western Province B, who outplayed KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) A, romping to a 7-2 win in which Rebecca Hime scored a hat-trick, while Christina Cox and Sky Geffen added two each. Olivia Botha fired in both KZN goals.

Boland got the better of Buffalo City B, winning 8-5, with Gabriella Dewey leading them by notching a hat-trick.

Zimbabwe B made a strong impression with a convincing 10-2 win over Northerns. Rebecca Martin struck three times for the Zimbabweans and Farai Matabeya added a brace.

KwaZulu-Natal B cruised past Nelson Mandela Bay B in the last game of the day, winning 8-1, with Emily Kriel and Sasha Brown bagging two goals apiece.

    Boys

In the Boys’ u13 competition, at St David’s Marist Inanda‘s Fourvière Pool, the home team, Central Gauteng A made a statement with a 6-2 win over KwaZulu-Natal A, scoring four goals without answer after the sides were level at 2-2.

In 2024, KZN A went unbeaten and won the u13 title, with KZN B finishing in fourth place. An unbeaten record is no longer possible for the defending champions, but they’ll, no doubt, be in the running later for a top finish at the event.

Samuel Terlingen led the Central Gauteng A challenge, scoring three goals, while Chuma Manjo beat the ‘keeper twice. Mpilo Khomo scored both KZN goals.

Later in the day, Western Province A, one of the traditional title challengers, was pressed hard by KZN B and won by three goals, which reflected well on the host’s four-goal win over KZN A.

Central Gauteng B showed off the depth of the province by downing Nelson Mandela Bay A 4-2 in the opening game of the IPT, and Central Gauteng C blanked Eastern Gauteng 7-0.

Western Province B, meanwhile, wrapped up the day’s programme with a resounding 13-2 victory over Buffalo City A. Charles Dingley and Max Wides starred with four goals apiece.

Eden Districts netted 12 times against Zimbabwe B. It was a humdinger, with the Zimbabweans replying with 10 of their own. Jordan Meiring stole the spotlight with his five goals for Eden, but Dominic Hutchings went one better, burying six shots into the back of the net for Zim B.

Zimbabwe A lost out to Northerns A in a penalty shootout after their game had ended 6-6. Despite the loss, Mason Granger starred for South Africa’s northern neighbours, depositing four goals into the Northerns A net.

Ryan Magson scored four and Rogan Barrett three in Nelson Mandela Bay B‘s 11-4 win over Northerns B.
