BLOEMFONTEIN. – Transvaal was crowned unofficial champions of the Craven Week of 1984 after securing a narrow 3-0 victory over Eastern Province in the main match of the tournament.<\/p>\n
Transvaal secured their place in the main match thanks to another narrow victory of 10-9 over the hosts, Free State, during the fourth day in the City of Roses. The victory against Free State came thanks to a penalty late in the match.<\/p>\n
Transvaal and South Eastern Transvaal were the only two sides who managed to finish the tournament unbeaten in 1984.<\/p>\n
