The annual NMI Toyota Noord\/Suid-tournament<\/strong> will once again be one of the highlights of the South African schoolboy rugby calendar in 2024.<\/p>\n Next year’s edition of the tournament will be the tenth tournament since the inaugural festival of rugby was hosted by Menlopark in Pretoria back in 2014.<\/p>\n Next year’s tournament will take place from 22 to 26 March once again at the Afrikaanse Ho\u00ebr Seunskool of Pretoria. All the matches will be live-streamed by SuperSport Schools<\/strong><\/a> (www.supersportschools.com<\/a>).<\/p>\n During that first year’s tournament four teams – Paarl Gimnasium, Waterkloof, Menlopark and Harrismith took part. The tournament arose from this humble beginnings to a total of 24 schools that will be in action during the 2024-edition.<\/p>\n “When we started the tournament back in 2014 it was a nice thing that we tried to do. It has grown immensely since then with the last two to three years being on a next level,” said Pieter Rossouw<\/strong>, founder and organiser of the NMI Toyota Noord\/Suid-tournament.<\/p>\n The fixtures for next year’s tournament will once again showcase the top rugby schools from around South Africa locking horns. Some of the exciting match-ups during the Saturday include Affies vs Paul Roos Gimnasium, Monument vs Paarl Gimnasium and Noordheuwel vs Stellenberg.<\/p>\n On the opening day schoolboy rugby supporters could brace themselves for match-ups between Paarl Boys’ High vs King Edward VII, Garsfontein vs Oakdale Landbou and Grey College vs Jeppe High School for Boys.<\/p>\n Grey College will also face Garsfontein in their second match which also promises to be a fixture that will produce some sparks.
