They were followed by the Gauteng side in the second spot.

Both sides showcased their best players in the Province this week. For the Gauteng side, their starman, Jaydon Brooker has been phenomenal and scored 10 goals during the week.

As for Province, they’ve had a handful of players raising their hands, however, skipper Michael Cowen and Dean Carrick have been the two knocking on the international selector’s door.

The two sides also faced each other on Wednesday, with Province winning that clash (3-1).

The final started similarly. High-paced, energies high, and with both sides looking to assert themselves early on. It only took nine minutes for Province to open the scoring through Dean Carrick after his side managed to get a penalty corner.

Carrick capitalized on that, adding to his tally so far this week. The youngster would soon double his goalscoring tally two minutes later through a well-worked penalty stroke.

That goal brought the Southern Gauteng side back to life, as they started playing more and trying to catch up. In pursuit of getting back into the game, Brooker’s side became vulnerable at the back and Nathan Msakiwe pounced, scoring his side’s third of the game to take the match away from the Gauteng side.

Try as they may, the Gauteng side couldn’t get back into the match, and despite a goal by the ever-present captain, Jaydon Brooker the deficit proved too much and Province went away with a well-executed (3-1) win.

Province ended the tournament with a 100% win record. Dean Carrick and captain Michael Cowen were the two outstanding players for the side during the week.

Jaydon Brooker finished the week as the top goal scorer with 11 goals, followed by Roan Janse van Rensburg (Southern Free State) with seven goals and Dean Carrick with six.

In other matches, KZA Inland A finished third after beating Boland by one goal to nil. Western Province B will be happy with a fifth-place finish as they sneaked one past the KZN Inland A side.

Amathole will be dissapointed by not meeting their initial goal of finishing in the top five, however a final day win against Southern Free State sees them finish in the top 10.

Day 5 | Results

Eastern Province A 3 (2) (Caden Skinnett, Emil Kook, Zack Willimott); KZN Inland B 2 (0) (Asande Khumalo, Bryn Brokensha).

Amathole A 2 (0): (Ben van der Merwe, Cade Kock); Southern Free State A 0.

KZN Coastal B 1 (0) (Lethabo Mathobela); Northern Gauteng A 2 (1) (Wilan Tollig, Likho Dube).

KZN Coastal A 1 (1) (Thomas McKenzie); Boland A 0.

Western Province B 3 (0) (Jordan Paulsen, Keegan Rodgers, Mbasa Pilingane); KZN Inland A 2 (2) (Banele Dlamini , Wian Liebenberg).

Western Province A 3 (3) (Dean Carrick (2), Nathan Msakiwe); Southern Gauteng A 1 (0) (Jaydon Brooker).

Final standings:

1.
