{"id":29709,"date":"2023-06-02T12:00:45","date_gmt":"2023-06-02T10:00:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/football.supersportschools.com\/?p=1132"},"modified":"2023-06-02T12:00:45","modified_gmt":"2023-06-02T10:00:45","slug":"mila-abrahams-the-aim-is-to-is-to-ready-our-players-for-the-professional-set-up","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/test.ssschoolsplus.co.za\/?p=29709","title":{"rendered":"Mila Abrahams: The aim is to is to ready our players for the professional setup"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-900\" src=\"https:\/\/test.ssschoolsplus.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Football-South-Africa-2-400x210.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"210\" \/>GQEBERHA \u2013 With the Stutterheim High School&#8217;s first team leading the way in the Buffalo City League, the man nurturing the talents of the Stutterheim region, Mila Abrahams, says his job and that of every coach in the league is to produce players for the professional football.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To everyone\u2019s surprise, the Stutterheim High School first team has had a fantastic start to the league this season.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Looking at the campaign that this Eastern Cape based team endured last season, almost everyone ruled them out of any real contention this season.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mila Abrahams, the coach at Stutterheim High, admitted to his concerns at the beginning of the year citing to the lack of experience in his squad in relation to squads of the past.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Somehow, Abrahams&#8217; boys have found a way to gel together as a unit to force results in their favour.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cIt\u2019s a relief because I didn\u2019t think this particular squad was going to do this well to be honest,\u201d Abrahams told <\/span><b><i>SuperSport Schools<\/i><\/b> <b><i>News<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in an exclusive interview.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cLast year we had a very strong squad whereas this year we don\u2019t have that much soccer players.
