Selborne College<\/strong> of East London as well as the Afrikaanse Ho\u00ebr Seunskool of Pretoria (Affies) will make their debut at this year’s tournament. They will replace Northwood<\/strong> of Durban and St Andrew’s College<\/strong> of Makhanda in this prestigious tournament.<\/p>\n

The Westvaal Motor Group will be the new title sponsor from 2023 taking over from We Buy Cars who was the main sponsor from the inaugural tournament back in 2018.<\/p>\n

Selborne College has produced one Protea in the former wicketkeeper as well as Protea-coach, Mark Boucher<\/strong>. Affies has been turning out cricket talent during the last two decades with AB de Villiers<\/strong>, Jacques Rudolph, Neil Wagner<\/strong>, Faf du Plessis, Roelof van der Merwe<\/strong>, Kruger van Wyk and Dewald Brevis<\/strong> all being former pupils of the school.<\/p>\n

Affies will join Menlopark<\/strong>, Centurion, Waterkloof<\/strong>, St Andrew’s School (Bloemfontein), Potchefstroom Volkskool<\/strong>, Ho\u00ebrskool Nelspruit and St Stithians College<\/strong> as the team that will represented the northern region.<\/p>\n

The southern schools are Grey College<\/strong>, Grey High School, Paarl Boys’ High<\/strong>, Rondebosch Boys’ High, SACS<\/strong>, Westville Boys’ High, Wynberg Boys’ High<\/strong> and Selborne College.<\/p>\n

Waterkloof is the defending champions after defeating Potch Volkies in last year’s final.<\/p>\n
