Jeppe<\/strong> rained on Grey High School<\/strong>‘s parade on the final day of the 2024 Sunrisers Grey Fest<\/strong> by denying the hosts an unbeaten record.<\/p>\n

Grey High had been in top form at their home festival, but from the off Muneeb Ayob<\/strong> showed that Jeppe was going to be a tough nut to crack.<\/p>\n

He scored 73 runs for the visitors and partnered with Ryan Young,<\/strong> who contributed 56, to help Jeppe post a solid 219 to defend.<\/p>\n

The local batsmen were excellent all throughout the festival, but Luke Cannon<\/strong> (3\/24) and co were able to contain them.<\/p>\n

Pearson<\/strong> finished their campaign with an unblemished record, following a fourth consecutive victory against Menlopark<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The local boys turned to Cayden Wilson<\/strong>, who had been at the forefront of their success, to provide the spark they needed to see off the visitors.<\/p>\n

Wilson (3\/29) led the bowling attack and, alongside Sulaymaan Gangat<\/strong> (2\/13) and Jude Septoo<\/strong> (2\/15), stifled the Menlo batting effort, holding them to 137\/9. He then turned run-scorer, missing out on a half-century by a single run, but his innings placed his team in a comfortable position to overhaul the victory target.<\/p>\n

CM Geel<\/strong>, who sent four batsmen packing for only seven runs,\u00a0spearheaded the St Andrew’s School<\/strong> attack as they dismissed Framesby<\/strong> for only 102. JC Young<\/strong> and FG Botha<\/strong> both picked up braces, which left Framesby with a low total to defend.<\/p>\n

Despite Taine Douw<\/strong> and Juan Grigor<\/strong> picking up three wickets apiece, the boys from Bloemfontein claimed the win in the 16th over.<\/p>\n

Their neighbours, Grey College<\/strong>, faced Glenwood<\/strong> in a T20 match in their final fixture and limited the Durban side to only 94 as Darion Rabie<\/strong> snapped up 2\/9.<\/p>\n

Despite not having much to defend, Akhil Maharaj<\/strong> (3\/20) and his squad put up a good fight. Ruben Maree<\/strong> (30) and Christian Kind<\/strong> (21) were among the runs, but Grey were left to scramble across the line, claiming victory with only two balls left.<\/p>\n

In the end, Daniel Hattingh<\/strong>, with 21 not out, ensured the Bloemfontein boys ended their campaign on a high.<\/p>\n
