He claimed 3\/19 as the visitors, batting first, were held to 137\/8.<\/p>\n<p>Then, when Grey replied, <strong>Marco Giaconni<\/strong> played a confident innings for 41 runs and <strong>Kian Cambier<\/strong> offered strong assistance with a further 32 runs off of 20 deliveries.<\/p>\n<p>The rest of the Grey batsmen struggled to find a foothold and the home team suddenly found themselves chasing the game.<\/p>\n<p>However, <strong>Tristan Kemp<\/strong> and <strong>Matthew Wolfe<\/strong> kept their composure, and Kemp scored a vital two runs off the final delivery to secure a stalemate, which brought on a Super Over.<\/p>\n<p>Giaconni and Cambier were entrusted at the crease for the home team, with <strong>Dillon Garrod<\/strong>, who entered the fray when Cambier&#8217;s wicket fell, boosting the run rate immediately with a six.<\/p>\n<p>Giaconni also struck a boundary off the only delivery he faced to help Grey to a challenging 21 runs off of their over.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tristan Grundling<\/strong> then secured victory for the home side by restricting Futura to 13 runs in their final visit to the middle.<\/p>\n<p>In Makhanda, <strong>St Andrew&#8217;s College<\/strong> continued their dominant run of form as they beat <strong>Stanley CC<\/strong> by 51 runs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mitch Coventry<\/strong> (67) and <strong>Alex Price<\/strong> (57) impressed with the bat, while <strong>Karabo van Heerden<\/strong> led the bowling attack as they defended their 30-over total of 221\/7.<\/p>\n<p>Van Heerden sent three Stanley batsmen packing, while <strong>Roman van Zyl<\/strong> and <strong>Samuel Scheckter<\/strong> combined to remove four more for only 15 runs.<\/p>\n<p>In an East London derby, <strong>Stirling High School<\/strong> saw off their local rivals <strong>Cambridge High School<\/strong> by 69 runs.<\/p>\n<p>That match is also available on <strong>SuperSport Schools<\/strong> &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/live.supersportschools.com\/events\/65b0bd3b8f768fc6c98d0294\/\">Link to the game<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Opener <strong>Ryan Markland<\/strong> shone with a strong 65 runs and <strong>Chad Clark-Evans<\/strong> raced to 55 from 36 deliveries as Stirling posted 190\/3.<\/p>\n<p>Then, despite <strong>Aqhama Mdlulwa<\/strong> replying with a well-played 61 off of only 39 deliveries, the rest of the Cambridge batting lineup stumbled and left their side well short of the victory target after 20 overs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Summarised Scorecards<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Futura Academy 137\/8 &amp; 13\/0 <\/strong>(Taine Havermann 35, Reinhard Barnard 27; Xander Elkington 3\/19, Tristan Grundling 2\/27); <strong>Grey High 137\/7 &amp; 21\/1 <\/strong>(Marco Giaconni 41, Kian Cambier 32, Joel Maree 29; Taine Havenmann 2\/15, Ciaran Roundtree 2\/17, Ethan Currin 2\/25).\u00a0<strong>Grey won by 8 runs in Super Over<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Selborne 184\/4\u00a0<\/strong>(Aaron Senekal 70, Extras 29, Jacques van der Merwe 27, Waelon Plaatjies 23*, Tr\u00e9 Gilbert 23);\u00a0<strong>Lilyfontein 107\/3\u00a0<\/strong>(Corbin Tidbury 37, Adam Rogers 2\/7). <strong>Selborne won by 77 runs.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Stirling High School 190\/3\u00a0<\/strong>(Ryan Markland 65, Chad Clark-Evans 55, Extras 29, Josh Pickering 27; Tyler Bambie 1\/23); <strong>Cambridge High School 121\/6\u00a0<\/strong>(Aqhama Mdlulwa 61, Brady Hoole 20; Blake Nell 2\/13). <strong>Stirling High School won by 69 runs.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Futura Academy and Grey High finished their innings all square in their T20 match in Gqeberha on Wednesday afternoon and it was left to a Super Over for Grey to edge the win.
