On Saturday, Boland Landbou<\/strong> aims to avenge the 15-18 loss they suffered at the hands of Outeniqua<\/strong> in 2022.<\/p>\n

This time they meet at Kwagga Park in George, where they will hope to return the favour after Outeniqua beat them on the farm two years ago.<\/p>\n

While it is still very early in the new season, the two sides have made contrasting starts to their 2024 campaigns.<\/p>\n

Boland rallied to tame an impressive Milnerton<\/strong> attack at their Afgri Rugby Day<\/a> last weekend while the Kwaggas were stymied by Noordheuwel<\/strong> at their 101-Year Festival<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The hosts will be fired up to get back to winning ways, though, and the Paarl outfit will be ready for a battle.<\/p>\n

The battle between the flyhalves, Andrew Stopforth<\/strong> and Retagen van Rooi<\/strong>, will be intriguing to watch.<\/p>\n

Van Rooi and his winger, Wehan Lume<\/strong>, both crossed the line twice in their previous outing and the Kwaggas’ defensive lines will have to be tidy and the defenders make their first-time tackles to deny the try-hungry Boland backline.<\/p>\n

Outeniqua’s fullback, Keenan Jantjies<\/strong>, also showed he knows his way to the try-line in their game against Noordheuwel, but most of their success came up front with Ruan van Rensburg<\/strong> and Gareth Maree<\/strong> driving over for a try apiece.<\/p>\n

Boland Landbou’s forward pack rarely give an inch against the best in the country, though, so we can expect an entertaining battle when the sides square off at 13:00.<\/p>\n
