After a highly successful Easter tour, Worcester Gimnasium<\/strong> is back home to face their local rivals Swartland <\/strong>on Saturday.<\/p>\n

At the Kearsney Easter Rugby Festival<\/strong>, the boys from Worcester grabbed the spotlight, with their exciting running rugby bringing them nail-biting victories over Ho\u00ebrskool Rustenburg and Marlow Landbou. They edged out both by a single point, before losing 34-36 to Framesby on a last-second kick in their final outing.<\/p>\n

They play an entertaining brand of brave rugby and will seek to build on the momentum they built up in KZN when they take on Swartland in Malmesbury.<\/p>\n

Swartland scored 48 unanswered points against their opponent’s neighbours, Worcester Secondary, at the pre-season HTS Drostdy Sports Day, but they will face a far tougher challenge this weekend.<\/p>\n

Props, Wilfred Slingers<\/strong> and Armaan Adendorff,<\/strong> have been outstanding for the Gimmies so far this season, and they will aim to assert their dominance on Saturday.<\/p>\n

For Swartland, much of their success has come through their wingers, Deven Bocks<\/strong> and Tyrese Barlow<\/strong>, so the visitors will have to be wary of the speedsters on the outside.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Ho\u00ebrskool Montagu<\/strong> travels to face Ho\u00ebrskool Robertson<\/strong> in a fixture that has the potential to deliver fireworks.<\/p>\n

Both teams won two of their three matches recently at the Oakdale Klein Karoo Saadproduksie Rugby Week in Riversdal.<\/p>\n

The Robbies have already shown their intent to make their home field a fortress this year, and they held off Vredendal 15-12 in the headline match at their Robbie-Fest.<\/p>\n

Winger Ruwan Stevens<\/strong> scored the winning try in that contest, after earlier five-pointers from Bernardo Diedericks<\/strong> and Jaydan van Niekerk<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Montagu was also in action at the Robbie-Fest, where they ran riot in a 52-12 victory over the Jakes Gerwel Technical School.<\/p>\n

Flanker Chadwin Lottering<\/strong> dotted down twice and his flyhalf, Renaldo Koker<\/strong>, contributed 17 points with a try and six conversions.<\/p>\n
