Photo: <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/raychaplin.photography\/\">Ray Chaplin Photography<\/a><\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>After two pulsating mid-week fixtures in which <strong>Paul Roos Gimnasium (PRG)<\/strong> and <strong>South African College High School (SACS) <a href=\"https:\/\/ssschoolsplus.co.za\/all-square-as-paul-roos-vs-sacs-decider-ends-in-a-stalemate\/\">played to a 2-2 draw<\/a><\/strong>, and <strong>Paarl Gimnasium<\/strong> defeated <strong>Bishops Diocesan College<\/strong> 2-1, teams in the Western Cape were back in action on the weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Those four top guns all played on Friday night and produced some eye-catching results.<\/p>\n<p>SACS travelled to Reddam House Constantia for their league match and did what was expected of them, thrashing the hosts.<\/p>\n<p>The southern suburbs school, after producing a lukewarm performance against PRG on Wednesday, came out firing and were unrelenting.<\/p>\n<p>They scored a whopping 12 times and conceded one goal at the other end. Their playmaker, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ssschoolsplus.co.za\/video-interview-litha-kraai\/\">Litha Kraai<\/a><\/strong>, after being shut down by PRG, found his groove again, netting five times.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Matthew Jones<\/strong> chipped in with a hattrick, while <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ssschoolsplus.co.za\/player-feature-reece-theunis-sacs\/\">Reece Theunis<\/a> <\/strong>scored a brace, and <strong>Regan Wille<\/strong>, and <strong>Connor van der Schyff<\/strong> both got onto the scoreboard as SACS ran wild.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sam Holmes<\/strong>&#8216; charges will next turn their attention to a match against Rondebosch next weekend. &#8216;Bosch also cruised, outplaying <strong>DF Malan<\/strong> 7-0.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_53713\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-53713\" style=\"width: 400px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-53713\" src=\"https:\/\/ssschoolsplus.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/20240724185207_IMG_8102-400x267.jpg\" alt=\"Paul Roos will enter their clash vs Somerset College this coming week high in confidence after thumping Stellenberg 9-2. Photo: <strong>Dian Lategan<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Coach <strong>Michael Baker&#8217;<\/strong>s Paul Roos team travelled from Stellenbosch to Cape Town to face Stellenberg High School.<\/p>\n<p>It was business as usual for the Boland boys, and a free-flowing and open match saw them score with ease.<\/p>\n<p>They ran out comfortable 9-2 winners, with <strong>Luke Oliver<\/strong> scoring his first hattrick of the season. <strong>Callum van Oudsthoorn<\/strong> and skipper\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ssschoolsplus.co.za\/player-profile-reuben-sendzul\/\">Reuben Sendzul<\/a><\/strong> chipped in with doubles.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hano Basson <\/strong>and <strong>Christo Swanepoel<\/strong> completed the Paul Roos scoring as they scored their most goals in a game this season.<\/p>\n<p>Baker&#8217;s troops will be back in action at 18:35 on Thursday when they host <strong>Somerset College<\/strong> on the <strong>Maties Astroturf<\/strong> in Stellenbosch.<\/p>\n<p>In another league encounter, <strong>Bishops Diocesan College<\/strong> thumped Curro Durbanville 8-0 at the <strong>Woodlands AstroTurf<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>There were braces for <strong>Tom Ludlum<\/strong>,<strong> Joshua Mettler<\/strong>, and<strong> James Grieve <\/strong>while <strong>Albert Steyn <\/strong>and<strong> Andrew Raubenheimer<\/strong> also scored.<\/p>\n<p>Next weekend, Bishops faces <strong>Wynberg Boys&#8217; High<\/strong>.
