U17<\/strong><\/p>\n

Cambridge High School<\/strong> captured the u17 title and Graeme College<\/strong> lifted the silverware in the u15 age group when the High School Sevens Series, proudly sponsored by Toyota<\/strong>, stopped at Lilyfontein<\/strong> in the Eastern Cape on the weekend.<\/p>\n

Cambridge ploughed through their opposition until the semi-finals, where they were given a stern examination by Hudson Park<\/strong> before emerging with a 22-17 victory.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Port Rex<\/strong>, beaten 17-10 by Hangklip<\/strong> in their Pool B clash, reversed that result when they met in the semi-finals, winning 22-12, to book a place in the final.<\/p>\n

In a very tight contest, only a made conversion separated the sides as Cambridge claimed a 14-12 victory.<\/p>\n

The Bowl went the way of George Randell<\/strong>, who held on for a 20-15 win over Beaconhurst<\/strong>, while Queen’s College<\/strong> cruised to a 29-5 defeat of Lilyfontein in the Plate final.<\/p>\n

u15<\/strong><\/p>\n

Graeme College<\/strong> was the class of the u15 competition, rolling to the title in emphatic fashion. Only once were they scored upon, but that came in a comfortable 39-7 win over the Mdantsane Hurricanes<\/strong>. In their other four matches, they blanked their opposition.<\/p>\n

Their semi-final win over the same side was a tough battle, but Graeme took it 17-0. It was tighter still in the final against Hudson Park, but a clean defensive record ensured Graeme claimed the title after a 12-0 victory.<\/p>\n

The hosts, Lilyfontein, lifted the Bowl, following a 24-5 win over Ebenezer Majombozi<\/strong>, while Cambridge captured the Plate after a 12-5 triumph against De Vos Malan.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
