\"\"The Kaizer Chiefs Development u14 team<\/strong> is making headlines at the IberCup South Africa,<\/strong><\/a> which is on the go in Johannesburg.<\/p>\n

The Johannesburg event features a total of 196 teams competing in various age groups. Included in that number are 24 girls’ teams, among them the highly successful Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Competing in Group A, the Kaizer Chiefs team has impressed against elite clubs Paris Saint Germain (PSG)<\/strong>, PSV Eindhoven<\/strong>, SL Benfica<\/strong>, and their Gauteng Development League<\/strong> adversaries, TS Galaxy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Phefeni Glamour Boys<\/strong> have, so far, scored three victories against a single defeat.<\/p>\n

On Thursday, Chiefs beat TS Galaxy 3-0 and followed that with a 4-1 win over PSV Eindhoven. The following day, they handed PSG a 1-0 loss. On Saturday morning, they were finally stopped by Benfica, who recorded a 2-0 victory.<\/p>\n

Group B of the u14 age group is made up of South African sides, including Total Football Excellence A, Randburg AFC, Central Schools FA, Socca Dream,<\/strong> and RCDE Espanyol Johannesburg.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Total Football Excellence A currently tops the group. They scored back-to-back wins on Friday, decisively defeating Socca Dream 4-0 and RCDE Espanyol Johannesburg 2-0. They were held to a 1-1 draw by Randburg AFC in their opening match on Thursday.<\/p>\n

Group C is also made up solely of South African teams. Racing ahead of the chasing pack is Team Gauteng<\/strong>.
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

They began their campaign with a 2-0 win over Stars of Africa<\/strong> on Thursday. Then, facing two outings on Friday, they raised their game to comfortably deal with Free State StarZ<\/strong> 4-0 and Riverside FC<\/strong> 4-1.<\/p>\n

On Saturday morning, Team Gauteng made it four wins on the trot, overwhelming Total Football Excellence B<\/strong> 7-0 at the University of Johannesburg’s (UJ) AW Muller Stadium<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
