The annual Peninsula Cricket Festival<\/strong> is without a doubt where the heavyweights of South African schoolboy cricket get together to test their mettle.<\/p>\n Catch all the action live on SuperSport Schools<\/strong><\/a> (www.supersportschools.com<\/a>).<\/p>\n During the opening day of the festival there is a couple of matches to look forward to. The encounter between Diocesan College<\/strong> or Bishops as they are better known as, will take on St Stithians College<\/strong> on the Frank Reid Oval.<\/p>\n Saints had four former pupils – Wiaan Mulder<\/strong>, Kwena Maphaka<\/strong>, Ryan Rickelton<\/strong> and Kagiso Rabada<\/strong> in action for the Proteas in the recent test against Pakistan at Newlands in Cape Town. Maphaka, who is still waiting on his matric results, made his test debut in this test.<\/p>\n Wynberg Boys’ High<\/strong> is hosting the Afrikaanse Ho\u00ebr Seunskool of Pretoria in their first encounter of the festival on the Jacques Kallis Oval. Affies’ Vihan Pretorius<\/strong> and Ruben Groenewald<\/strong> won’t be in action against Wynberg as they are still representing the Northern Champions during the final day of Cricket South Africa’s Cubs Week in Stellenbosch.<\/p>\n Wynberg Boys’ High is also not at full strength during the opening clash as their captain, Paul James<\/strong>, is one of the key players for the Southern Superstars as they will lock horns with the United States of America’s u19-side in the final of this year’s Cubs Week.<\/p>\n Rondebosch Boys’ High will host Pretoria Boys’ High during their first encounter of 2025. The home side will also be missing Daniel Bosman who is in action at the Cubs Week.
