Die eerste rugbyspan van die Ho\u00ebrskool Sentraal gaan probeer om die eerste keer sedert 2012 vir Jim Fouch\u00e9 \u2018n nederlaag toe te dien. Di\u00e9 twee spanne pak mekaar vandag om 15:15 in hulle jaarlikse ENB Classic Clash.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tralies was in 2012 in di\u00e9 ooreenstemmende wedstryd met 33-13 op sy tuisveld baas. JF is vandag die gasheer en die Bloktruie kon laas in 2009 \u2018n sege op di\u00e9 veld teen die manne in groen behaal. Dit was destyds Sentraal se eerste oorwinning oor JF sedert 2002. <\/span><\/p>\n

Sentraal het die oorhand oor JF gehad tot en met die draai van die millennium. JF het sy eerste sege in meer as \u2018n kwarteeu oor Tralies in 2000 behaal toe hy met 18-10 baas was. Louis Botha se afrigter, Jan Gouws, was een van JF se staatmakers destyds. Grey-kollege se kondisioneringshoof, Hein Vosloo, was ook lid van JF se span van 2000. <\/span><\/p>\n

As daar na die uitslae van di\u00e9 twee spanne sover vanjaar gekyk word, is Sentraal die gunsteling om vandag te wen. Die feit dat die wedstryd op Jim Fouch\u00e9 se tuisveld plaasvind haal egter die etiket as gunsteling van die tafel. <\/span><\/p>\n

Tralies moet boonop sonder sy agtsteman en kaptein, Kobus Lombaard, klaarkom. Die heelagter, SJ Fourie, sal die span op die veld lei. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cDit is \u2018n wedstryd wat enige kant toe kan gaan. Dit is altyd moelik om teen JF te speel en ons was die afgelope twee jaar as breiers nog nie aan die wenkant teen hulle nie. Hopelik is ons die keer aan die regte kant van die uitslag,\u201d het Jorrie Gobler, afrigter van Sentraal, ges\u00ea. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u2018n Sege sal Sentraal bo-aan die Vrystaatse A1-liga se puntelys laat eindig. Die span sal hiermee sy aanslag om vanjaar die eerste span van di\u00e9 skool om as kampioen van di\u00e9 liga gekroon te word ietwat makliker maak. <\/span><\/p>\n

Jim Fouch\u00e9 se losskakel, Tiaan Schutte, is sonder twyfel een van die voorste spelers in sy posisie in die sentrale streek. Hy en sy kaptein en agtsteman, Hanno Spies, sal op hul beste moet wees indien JF wil wen.<\/span><\/p>\n
