It\u2019s become a staple, a fixture that has drawn large crowds over the past few years, and Saturday promises to be no different.<\/p>\n

As always, a mouth-watering clash between Jeppe High School for Boys<\/strong> and the Wit Bulle<\/strong>,<\/em> from Ho\u00ebrskool Monument<\/strong>, is set to deliver a tasty treat of schoolboy rugby.<\/p>\n

After claiming the bragging rights with an impressive 47\u201331 victory on the Ras van Rooyen<\/strong>, in Krugersdorp, in 2024, Jeppe will head into the rematch brimming with confidence, especially as the match takes place on their home ground, the revered Collard Field<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

However, it’s a new season and a new-look Jeppe side that features some exciting young talent. Already this season, Jeppe has been in the spotlight, especially when they scored a scintillating victory over their arch-rivals, King Edward VII School (KES)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

They’ve also shown glimpses of their dangerous potential, holding their own against Rondebosch Boys’ High<\/strong>, a likely top-10 side this year, and putting 31 points past Grey College,<\/strong> at the recent NMI Toyota North\/South Tournament<\/strong>, in Stellenbosch.<\/p>\n

Considering the quality within their ranks, their success is not surprising. They’re led by the attacking flair of captain and scrumhalf, Talent Sithole<\/strong>. Just behind him, Nehemia Hollenbach<\/strong> has been doing a good job of pulling the strings at flyhalf and has consistently helped set outside centre Lindelani Nkambule<\/strong> on the front foot.<\/p>\n

The Wit Bulle haven’t had the best start to their campaign, but it’s a well-established fact that the men from Krugersdorp are never to be written off. Eager to ignite their season, the coaching staff has shuffled the midfield, with 2024’s Grant Khomo star Juandr\u00e9 Ehlers<\/strong> earning a call-up to the starting XV.<\/p>\n

His imposing frame offers their 2025 standout, fly-half Jaydon Viljoen<\/strong>, another attacking weapon, while also adding a defensive punch.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, KES<\/strong> welcomes another traditional rival, Pretoria Boys High<\/strong>, to Johannesburg, on Saturday. The Reds<\/strong> <\/em>have been plagued by injuries, which have led to several enforced changes. Captain Sam Bruwer<\/strong> shifts from the blindside to openside flanker, with Michael Bownes<\/strong> trading his lock jersey for the number 7 shirt.<\/p>\n

In the backline, Ntsako Shivuri<\/strong> slots in at inside centre to partner with the dangerous Sky Segal<\/strong>, while Grant Khomo wing Joshua Wilkinson<\/strong> brings attacking flair to the left wing.<\/p>\n

Although the Candies<\/strong><\/em> fell short against Jeppe in their season opener, they bounced back in style with a 64\u201316 dismantling of Parktown Boys’ High in a match that showcased not only their offensive versatility but also their defensive steel.<\/p>\n

Inside centre Tyler Mason<\/strong> will provide a stern test for Shivuri\u2019s defence while fly-half Reinier Kruger<\/strong> could play a decisive role in the outcome.<\/p>\n
