Supplied.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ssschoolsplus.co.za\/absa-wildeklawer-has-a-new-champion-virginia-high-school\/\">Absa Wildeklawer champions<\/a>, Virginia High School,<\/strong> delivered a standout performance in the <strong>Magnificent Wednesday Schools League,<\/strong> but they still find themselves one point behind <strong>St Anne&#8217;s Technical High School<\/strong> in the standings of circuit nine.<\/p>\n<p>While the other circuits have not yet started their seasons, circuit nine is running smoothly, with five rounds of action in the book.<\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday afternoon, the matches in the<strong> Lejweleputswa<\/strong> region of Virginia, in the Free State, were characterised by a flurry of goals.<\/p>\n<p>Virginia High overwhelmed <strong>Mamello Secondary School<\/strong>, powering their way to a 10-0 win.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lebohang Mobe<\/strong> was exceptional, netting five times, while <strong>Thato Kraal<\/strong> struck twice. <strong>Oageng Lebesane, Mpho Nhlokoe,<\/strong> and <strong>Boikanyo Moloi<\/strong> completed the scoring.<\/p>\n<p>St Anne&#8217;s, after a 1-0 win over Virginia High last Friday, continued their winnings ways with a 4-1 win over <strong>Marematlou Secondary School.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Although Marematlou took the lead with a goal from <strong>Mpho<\/strong> <strong>Steward,<\/strong> St Anne&#8217;s quickly retaliated with a fierce counterattack and went on to a comfortable victory.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Makume Molemela, Keorapetse Nyathi, Thabang,<\/strong> and the side&#8217;s youngest player, 15-year-old <strong>Thabiso Sejentu,<\/strong> each contributed a goal to St Anne&#8217;s success.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Harmony High School<\/strong> also bagged three points, but only because of the absence of <strong>Reatlehile Secondary School.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>RESULTS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Harmony High School 2-0 Reatlehile Secondary School (Walkover)<br \/>\nVirginia High School 10-0 Mamello Secondary School<br \/>\nSt Anne&#8217;s Technical High School 4-1 Marematlou Secondary School<\/p>\n<p><strong>FORTHCOMING FIXTURES<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Friday, 30 May<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> Magnificent Wednesday Schools League\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Virginia High School vs Meloding Secondary<br \/>\nReatlehile Secondary School vs St Anne&#8217;s Technical High School<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Absa Wildeklawer champions, Virginia High School, delivered a standout performance in the Magnificent Wednesday Schools League, but they still find themselves one point behind St Anne&#8217;s Technical High School in the standings of circuit nine.
