{"id":77453,"date":"2025-07-12T15:29:25","date_gmt":"2025-07-12T13:29:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ssschoolsplus.co.za\/?p=77453"},"modified":"2025-07-12T15:29:25","modified_gmt":"2025-07-12T13:29:25","slug":"sa-schools-squads-announced-after-successful-fnb-u18-craven-week","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/test.ssschoolsplus.co.za\/?p=77453","title":{"rendered":"SA Schools squads announced after successful FNB u18 Craven Week"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-77455\" src=\"https:\/\/ssschoolsplus.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/PSX_20250709_133212-400x284.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"284\" \/>Eight players who were part of the two <strong>SA Schools<\/strong> squads last year have been included in the two groups again this year when the teams do battle in Middelburg in Mpumalanga on Thursday, 17 July.<\/p>\n<p>Western Province\u2019s <strong>Josh Neill<\/strong>, Markus Muller, <strong>Briint Davids<\/strong>, and Jordan Jooste, as well as <strong>Ethan Adams<\/strong> and AJ Meyer from Free State, the Sharks\u2019 <strong>Zekhethelo Siyaya<\/strong>, and Andr\u00e9 Poulton of the Golden Lions, all of whom featured in 2024, were again included in the two squads of 26 players each.<\/p>\n<p>Western Province has the most representatives in the two groups \u2013 eight players in the SA Schools team, and 12 in the SA Schools \u2018A\u2019 squad. The annual showpiece between the two sides will kick off at 15:00 at <strong>Ho\u00ebrskool Middelburg<\/strong>, the hosts of the <strong>FNB u18 Craven Week<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Mr <strong>Mark Alexander<\/strong>, President of SA Rugby, congratulated all the players selected for the SA Schools and SA Schools \u2018A\u2019 teams. \u201cYour hard work, dedication, and performance have earned you this honour, and we celebrate your achievement today,\u201d said Mr Alexander. \u201cWe also acknowledge those who missed out, and remind you that your journey is far from over.<\/p>\n<p>Today, we celebrate not only the selection of these teams but the promise of a pathway that nurtures excellence, resilience, and opportunity. \u201cThese young athletes represent the future of South African rugby, and while we honour those selected, we encourage every player to remain committed to their journey.
