\"Glenwood<\/span>The High School 7’s Series will kick-off again this weekend after taking a break with tournaments at Glenwood in Durban as well as at Hoërskool Rustenburg. <\/span><\/p>\n

The tournament in Durban promises to produce some highlights as Glenwood, Durban High School, Westville Boys’ High, Bergvlam from Nelspruit and Northwood will be the eying some silverware. <\/span><\/p>\n

The tournament will be streamed live via Fanstream.co.za<\/strong><\/em><\/a>. Matches could be watched via your cellphone, tablet, laptop or Smart TV. The Cup final of the u18 tournament will be played on Saturday at 15:10. <\/span><\/p>\n

The hosts, Glenwood, will be the early favourites to be crowned champions and book their place to the Champion of Champions tournament which will take place on 20 and 21 October. Goudveld of Welkom and Louis Botha of Bloemfontein is the only two teams who already booked their places in February by being crowned champions in Kimberley and Bloemfontein. <\/span><\/p>\n

The Cup-final of the u15 tournament will be played at 15:00. There are only eight teams participating in this tournament. They are Glenwood, Bergvlam, Northwood, Vryheid, Ixopo, Westville Boys’ High, Durban High School, Kloof, Northwood II and Transkei Journey. <\/span><\/p>\n

The tournament organiser is Darryl Weir. He is well-known is sevens circles and was also an integral part of the @lantic Sevens Series which played a major developing role in Blitsbokke like Branco du Preez, Hoffman Maritz, Cecil Afrika and Justin Geduld.<\/span><\/p>\n

Players in action during the High School 7’s Series will also come into contention to tour with a representative team to the Dubai Sevens later this year. Travel and Sport<\/strong><\/em> will be identifying players from the tournaments in the series and sent them invitations to join the tour groups. <\/span><\/p>\n
