Photo: <a href=\"https:\/\/web.facebook.com\/photo\/?fbid=1315574810575888&amp;set=pcb.1315574923909210\"><strong>Curro Sport on Facebook.<\/strong><\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The eagerly awaited finals of the <strong>Curro Halala Cup<\/strong> kicked off at <strong>HeronBridge College<\/strong> in Gauteng on Thursday, and <strong>Navalsig High<\/strong>, and <strong>Clapham High <\/strong>caught the eye with strong statements of intent.<\/p>\n<p>In Pool A, <strong>Camps Bay High<\/strong> and <strong>Stintile Secondary School<\/strong> kicked off proceedings quietly, playing to a goalless draw.<\/p>\n<p>Then, with a decisive 8-1 victory over <strong>Brylin High<\/strong>, the biggest win of the day, Navalsig rocketed to the top of the pool standings.<\/p>\n<p>In Pool B, KwaZulu-Natal&#8217;s Glenwood High, who secured third place in the <strong>Mancosa KwaZulu-Natal High Schools Football Association (KZNHSFA) Coastal A-League<\/strong>, suffered a crushing 0-4 defeat against <a href=\"https:\/\/ssschoolsplus.co.za\/clapham-high-school-lifts-the-absa-wilderklawer-soccer-tournament-title\/\"><strong>last year&#8217;s Absa Wildeklawer winners, Clapham High<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Northern Academy, who <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ssschoolsplus.co.za\/meridian-northern-academy-clinches-the-kay-motsepe-schools-championship\/\">claimed the Kay Motsepe Schools Champions in<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/ssschoolsplus.co.za\/meridian-northern-academy-clinches-the-kay-motsepe-schools-championship\/\"> 2024<\/a><\/strong>, started their finals campaign with a decisive 4-0 victory over <strong>Flora Park High<\/strong>, mirroring Clapham High&#8217;s success against Glenwood.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hillcrest High<\/strong>, the runner-up in the KZNHSFA Coastal A-League, performed admirably but had to settle for a goalless draw with <strong>Meridian Pinehurst<\/strong>.
