Klein Nederburg<\/strong> roared to a 40-17 win over their rivals, New Orleans<\/strong>, in their Paarl Derby<\/strong> at the Faure Street Stadium<\/strong>, on Saturday.<\/p>\n

After five defeats in succession, it was Klein Nederburg’s second win over New Orleans on the trot.<\/p>\n

Thanks to the good quality ball won by their dominant pack, Klein Nederburg doubled up New Orleans, crossing for six tries to three.<\/p>\n

In Malmesbury, the third time was the charm as Ho\u00ebrskool Swartland<\/strong>, the losers of their first two matches of the third term, fought back from a 3-5 halftime deficit to run in three second half tries and beat Ho\u00ebrskool Punt <\/strong>25-15.<\/p>\n

Competing at the breakdown with ferocious spirit, the hosts enjoyed the lions’ share of the possession in the second half, which led to them creating attacking opportunity after attacking opportunity.<\/p>\n

Punt mustered three tries themselves, but they gave away costly penalties under pressure from the Swartland forwards.<\/p>\n

Flyhalf De Wet van Aswegen<\/strong> led with the boot for the home team, landing two conversions and two penalties, which proved to be one of the big differences in the match.<\/p>\n

Next Saturday, Swartland will set their sights on another win when they host Ho\u00ebrskool Hugenote.<\/strong><\/p>\n
