{"id":82995,"date":"2025-09-15T20:24:29","date_gmt":"2025-09-15T18:24:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ssschoolsplus.co.za\/?p=82995"},"modified":"2025-09-15T20:24:29","modified_gmt":"2025-09-15T18:24:29","slug":"landmark-epd-squads-for-u16-boys-and-girls-confirmed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/test.ssschoolsplus.co.za\/?p=82995","title":{"rendered":"Landmark EPD squads for u16 boys and girls confirmed"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure id=\"attachment_82998\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-82998\" style=\"width: 400px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-82998\" src=\"https:\/\/ssschoolsplus.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Grant-Khomo-1-400x286.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"286\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-82998\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">PHOTO: Marius Nortj\u00e9.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The two EPD squads follow a comprehensive talent identification process during the recently held FNB Grant Khomo and FNB Girls Week for u16s in Pretoria and Johannesburg, with the groups ultimately forming the bedrock of the national pathway process for these promising players.<\/p>\n<p>According to Herman Masimla, SA Rugby\u2019s Senior Manager, Development in the Participation &amp; Development Department, the two squads represent the next generation of South African rugby excellence.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe naming of our first-ever Under-16 Girls EPD squad is a landmark achievement in our journey to elevate women\u2019s rugby,\u201d said Masimla.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s also a powerful intervention at a critical stage in the development of these young players.
