They opened their challenge with a one-sided 21-3 win over <strong>Steyn City School<\/strong> before powering past <strong>Merrifield College<\/strong> 16-5.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Beaulieu College<\/strong> also impressed, downing Merrifield 9-3 before handing <strong>Woodridge College<\/strong> a 9-2 loss.<\/p>\n<p>Pool B also produced its share of excitement. <strong>Stirling High School<\/strong> got off to a strong start with a 10-1 victory over <strong>Alexander Road High <\/strong>and later added another win against <strong>Westerford High<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Thomas More College<\/strong> also picked up two wins, beating Westerford 7-3 before blanking Alex Road 5-0 to keep a clean record.<\/p>\n<p>In Pool C, <span style=\"margin: 0px; padding: 0px;\"><strong>St<\/strong><\/span><strong> Peter&#8217;s College<\/strong> ended the day on top of the standings after two convincing wins, by 10-1 over <strong>Curro Hillcrest<\/strong> and by 12-2 over <strong>Hudson Park<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The tightest competition was in Pool D, where\u00a0<strong>Kingswood College<\/strong> edged out <strong>Glenwood House<\/strong> 5-4. They had an easier time against <strong>Crawford Lonehill<\/strong>, recording a 9-2 victory. Glenwood House bounced back from their narrow defeat with a 5-2 win over the<strong> NMMU\/VC Invitational<\/strong> side.<\/p>\n<p>In the boys&#8217; competition, Pearson put on a show for the home crowd. They hammered<strong> Rand Park High <\/strong>22-2 before cruising to a 9-1 win over the Invitational team, which put the hosts in early control of Pool A.<\/p>\n<p>Pool B featured tightly contested games. <strong>Reddam House Bedfordview<\/strong> opened with an 8-4 win over Steyn City but stumbled against Stirling High. However, they recovered quickly, sneaking a 3-2 win over <strong>Thomas More College<\/strong> in their second outing. Steyn City also showed resilience after their loss to Reddam, handing Stirling a 10-5 loss.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Woodridge College<\/strong> dominated Pool C, making a strong statement with a 12-1 win over <strong>Reddam House Helderfontein<\/strong> and a 12-4 triumph against Merrifield College. Merrifield picked up a win against Westerford, cruising to a 10-2 victory.<\/p>\n<p>In Pool D, <strong>Glenwood House <\/strong>fired off the blocks with a commanding 15-2 win over Alex Road. They were extended by St Peter&#8217;s in their second match but won 9-6.
