They brushed aside<strong> Clarendon High\u00a0School<\/strong> <strong>for Girls<\/strong> 10-3 in their opener and then cruised to an 8-2 win over <strong>Woodridge College<\/strong> to finish atop the standings after day one.<\/p>\n<p>Clarendon bounced back from that early loss with a solid 10-6 victory over <strong>Diocesan School for Girls<\/strong> <strong>(DSG) Makhanda<\/strong>. Earlier, DSG had opened their account with a comfortable 10-2 win over <strong>Crawford Lonehill<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In one of the day&#8217;s closest contests, Woodridge clawed their way to a 6-5 win over Crawford.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, in Pool B, <strong>St Anne&#8217;s Diocesan College<\/strong> opened their campaign in fine form, beating <strong>Collegiate Girls&#8217; High <\/strong>11-2 before withstanding a tough challenge from <strong>Reddam House Constantia<\/strong>.
