The South Africans eased past Germany by 28-5 in the final of the tournament.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Saru might need to relook their participation at this tournament. Our national u18 team could gain more value from attending a tournament where they will be tested thoroughly than thrashing their opponents from start to finish.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Entering, for example, the annual Dubai Sevens&#8217; u19 tournament will provide the team with more resistance. Budget constraints will, however, play a major role in the decision where the national team show-off their talents.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">This is not to rain on the SA u18 Sevens parade, but it surely will aid their development as players more if they attended a tournament where they play against opposition that will be able to give them stiffer opposition.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Tiaan Pretorius of Paul Roos Gimnasium captained the SA u18-side to their third successive title in Windhoek. They cruised past the Barbarians (41-0), Zimbabwe (57-5) and Namibia (35-0) on <\/span>the opening<span style=\"color: #000000;\"> day in Windhoek.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">On Saturday they also eased past Germany (54-5) who they also met in the final.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The South Africans almost wrote a world record behind their name during their final pool match against Botswana. They smashed their neighbours from up-north by 91-0.
