Buffalo City, however, claimed the win after a penalty shootout.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jade Sansom<\/strong> scored twice for the winners in regulation time, while <strong>Mataiah Smith<\/strong> did the same for Nelson Mandela Bay A.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Central Gauteng C<\/strong> were the top scorers on the opening day, putting 18 past <strong>Eastern Gauteng B<\/strong>, with <strong>Keira Gordon-Bennett<\/strong> slotting five times and <strong>Blye Mitchell<\/strong> netting four. <strong>Sonali Singh<\/strong> scored Easterns&#8217; lone goal.<\/p>\n<p>The biggest splash was made by <strong>Western Province B<\/strong>, who outplayed <strong>KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) A<\/strong>, romping to a 7-2 win in which <strong>Rebecca Hime <\/strong>scored a hat-trick, while <strong>Christina Cox <\/strong>and <strong>Sky Geffen <\/strong>added two each. <strong>Olivia Botha <\/strong>fired in both KZN goals.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Boland<\/strong> got the better of <strong>Buffalo City B<\/strong>, winning 8-5, with <strong>Gabriella Dewey <\/strong>leading them by notching a hat-trick.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Zimbabwe B<\/strong> made a strong impression with a convincing 10-2 win over <strong>Northerns<\/strong>. <strong>Rebecca Martin<\/strong> struck three times for the Zimbabweans and <strong>Farai Matabeya<\/strong> added a brace.<\/p>\n<p><strong>KwaZulu-Natal B<\/strong> cruised past <strong>Nelson Mandela Bay B<\/strong> in the last game of the day, winning 8-1, with <strong>Emily Kriel<\/strong> and <strong>Sasha Brown<\/strong> bagging two goals apiece.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Boys<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In the <strong>Boys&#8217; u13<\/strong> competition, at <strong>St David&#8217;s Marist Inanda<\/strong>&#8216;s\u00a0<strong>Fourvi\u00e8re Pool<\/strong>, the home team, <strong>Central Gauteng A<\/strong> made a statement with a 6-2 win over <strong>KwaZulu-Natal A<\/strong>, scoring four goals without answer after the sides were level at 2-2.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/u13BoysIPT2025-waterPolo\"><strong>Catch the action LIVE on SuperSport Schools<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In 2024, KZN A went unbeaten and won the u13 title, with KZN B finishing in fourth place. An unbeaten record is no longer possible for the defending champions, but they&#8217;ll, no doubt, be in the running later for a top finish at the event.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Samuel Terlingen<\/strong> led the Central Gauteng A challenge, scoring three goals, while <strong>Chuma Manjo<\/strong> beat the &#8216;keeper twice. <strong>Mpilo Khomo<\/strong> scored both KZN goals.<\/p>\n<p>Later in the day, <strong>Western Province A<\/strong>, one of the traditional title challengers, was pressed hard by <strong>KZN B<\/strong> and won by three goals, which reflected well on the host&#8217;s four-goal win over KZN A.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Central Gauteng B<\/strong> showed off the depth of the province by downing <strong>Nelson Mandela Bay A<\/strong> 4-2 in the opening game of the IPT, and <strong>Central Gauteng C<\/strong> blanked <strong>Eastern Gauteng<\/strong> 7-0.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Western Province B<\/strong>, meanwhile, wrapped up the day&#8217;s programme with a resounding 13-2 victory over <strong>Buffalo City A<\/strong>. <strong>Charles Dingley<\/strong> and <strong>Max Wides<\/strong> starred with four goals apiece.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Eden Districts<\/strong> netted 12 times against <strong>Zimbabwe B<\/strong>. It was a humdinger, with the Zimbabweans replying with 10 of their own. <strong>Jordan Meiring<\/strong> stole the spotlight with his five goals for Eden, but <strong>Dominic Hutchings<\/strong> went one better, burying six shots into the back of the net for Zim B.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Zimbabwe A<\/strong> lost out to <strong>Northerns A<\/strong> in a penalty shootout after their game had ended 6-6. Despite the loss, <strong>Mason Granger<\/strong> starred for South Africa&#8217;s northern neighbours, depositing four goals into the Northerns A net.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ryan Magson<\/strong> scored four and <strong>Rogan Barrett<\/strong> three in <strong>Nelson Mandela Bay B<\/strong>&#8216;s 11-4 win over <strong>Northerns B<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>SCORES<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span
