Photo: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/TeamphotoSA\/\"><strong>TeamPhotoSA<\/strong><\/a>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Schools Water Polo South Africa (SWPSA)<\/strong> unveiled a talented 15-member <strong>SA Schools<\/strong> squad at the end of the <strong>SWPSA Inter-Provincial Tournament (IPT) <\/strong>in Johannesburg, on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Central Gauteng A<\/strong> proved themselves to be an indomitable force <a href=\"https:\/\/ssschoolsplus.co.za\/central-gauteng-clinches-a-fourth-girls-u19-ipt-title-in-a-row\/\"><strong>as they rolled to a fourth successive IPT trophy<\/strong><\/a>, defeating <strong>Western Province A<\/strong> in a thrilling final at <strong>St David\u2019s Marist Inanda<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The champions claimed six spots in the national squad, while Western Province was rewarded with three representatives, which was matched by <strong>KwaZulu-Natal<\/strong>. The Eastern Cape produced three SA Schools players &#8211; two from <strong>Nelson Mandela<\/strong> <strong>Bay<\/strong> and one from <strong>Buffalo City<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Isabella Imbriolo<\/strong>, who produced an outstanding campaign and fittingly scored the last goal of the competition, was named the <strong>Player of the Tournament<\/strong>, which made her a slam dunk choice for SA Schools.<\/p>\n<p>Her teammates, <strong>Jenna Blaauw<\/strong>, who received the <strong>Best Utility<\/strong> award,\u00a0and <strong>Cadha Mosehla<\/strong>, who took home the <strong>Best Forward<\/strong> accolade, also made the national selectors&#8217; jobs easy.<\/p>\n<p>They were joined in the SA Schools&#8217; squad by <strong>Amy Stubbs<\/strong>, <strong>Caitlin Scrimgeour<\/strong>, and <strong>Lucy Davis<\/strong>, who were also vital cogs in the victorious Gauteng side.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Julia Luckhoff<\/strong> captained Western Province A with aplomb in their run to the final. She was rock solid in defence and was awarded the <strong>Best Defender<\/strong> gong for her tireless work at the back. She, also, was an easy choice for the national squad.<\/p>\n<p>Province&#8217;s<strong> Bella Murray<\/strong>, who represented <strong>South Africa<\/strong> at the <strong>World Aquatics Women&#8217;s u20 Water Polo Championships<\/strong> in Salvador, Brazil, in August, and <strong>Kirsten B\u00f6ttger<\/strong>, were selected, too.<\/p>\n<p>Nelson Mandela Bay&#8217;s <strong>Lucy Nagel<\/strong> and <strong>Kimberly Kabiri<\/strong> also cracked the nod. Kabiri wowed spectators with her exceptional goalkeeping skills, which kept her side in contests that they might have otherwise lost by wide margins. She received the <strong>Best Goalkeeper<\/strong> award for her efforts.<\/p>\n<p>KwaZulu-Natal narrowly missed out on a medal, losing to <strong>Central Gauteng B<\/strong> on penalties in the third-place playoff. They, nonetheless, put together a strong campaign, in large part because of the contributions of <strong>Hannah Savage<\/strong>, <strong>Inge Southey,<\/strong> and <strong>Inez Letschert<\/strong>, who all made the SA Schools&#8217; squad.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kara Batting<\/strong>, the only player from Buffalo City, rounded off the 15-player squad.
