\"\"The HJS Krieketfees<\/strong>, or Paarl Boys’ High Cricket Festival<\/strong>, is one of the biggest festivals in South African<\/strong> schoolboy cricket.<\/p>\n

In 2026, 54 teams across 29 schools will be in action from Tuesday, 6 January to Friday, 9 January.<\/p>\n

In the u19 age group, there will be 15 fixtures per day, with 30 teams participating in that age demographic.<\/p>\n

As is often the case, some teams who were part of last year’s festival have departed, while some newcomers enter the fray. This year, the newbies include St John’s College (Harare)<\/strong>, Napso Namibia<\/strong>, Oakdale Landbou<\/strong>, and the Paarl Boys’ XI<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

On day one, the games will follow a declaration format, which allows for a maximum of 120 overs to be played on the day, with both sides having one innings each to bat.<\/p>\n

Days two and three will be played in the 50-over format, while day four will be divided between 50-over and 20-over formats.<\/p>\n
