However, Pretorius enjoyed the support that Prinsloo lacked, with captain <strong data-start=\"1234\" data-end=\"1256\">Christiaan Verster<\/strong> contributing an unbeaten 30 that proved decisive in sealing <em><strong>V<\/strong><strong data-start=\"1363\" data-end=\"1374\">olkies<\/strong><\/em>&#8216; narrow seven-run win.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1377\" data-end=\"1679\">In the bowling department, <strong data-start=\"1404\" data-end=\"1422\">Willem Viljoen<\/strong> shone brightest for the <em><strong data-start=\"1447\" data-end=\"1458\">Pieties<\/strong><\/em>. He was the only player to claim four wickets in both of his side&#8217;s matches on Tuesday. Much like Erik Prinsloo&#8217;s Sentraal, Viljoen&#8217;s <strong data-start=\"1602\" data-end=\"1617\">Pietersburg<\/strong> experienced mixed fortunes, recording one win and one defeat.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1681\" data-end=\"2147\">He saved his best for the second match, capturing 4\/11 in a tight 10-run defeat to the hosts, <strong data-start=\"1793\" data-end=\"1809\">Fichardtpark<\/strong>. Earlier in the day, he knocked over 4\/24 in a 17-run victory over <strong data-start=\"1863\" data-end=\"1876\">Duineveld<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Viljoen was well supported by <strong data-start=\"1936\" data-end=\"1969\">Christiaan van der Merwe<\/strong>, who claimed 3\/24. Still, that was not quite enough to overcome the efforts of Fichardtpark&#8217;s<strong data-start=\"2022\" data-end=\"2056\"> Dillan Geringer<\/strong> (3\/9) and <strong data-start=\"2067\" data-end=\"2089\">Christiaan Myburgh<\/strong> (3\/10), who dismantled the Pieties&#8217;\u00a0batting line-up.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2149\" data-end=\"2631\">Wickets fell in abundance throughout the day, despite no bowler picking up a five-wicket haul. <strong data-start=\"2242\" data-end=\"2260\">Eizer Behrens<\/strong>, of the Volkies Stayers, recorded the best figures of the day, taking four wickets for 10 runs in a tense encounter against <strong data-start=\"2393\" data-end=\"2408\">Voortrekker <\/strong>in which <strong data-start=\"2417\" data-end=\"2428\">Volkies<\/strong> successfully defended a modest 100 to secure a six-run victory. They were one of four teams to win both of their Tuesday matches.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2633\" data-end=\"3081\"><strong data-start=\"2633\" data-end=\"2647\">Transvalia<\/strong> remained unbeaten in the tournament with comprehensive victories over <strong data-start=\"2718\" data-end=\"2730\">Merensky<\/strong> <strong>Landbou Akademie<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"2735\" data-end=\"2749\">Jim Fouch\u00e9 (JF)<\/strong>. The <em><strong data-start=\"2755\" data-end=\"2766\">Plasies<\/strong> <\/em>suffered a six-wicket defeat against Transvalia in the morning and JF were skittled for 51 as <em><strong>Valia<\/strong><\/em> added a 47-run victory in the afternoon.<\/p>\n<p><strong data-start=\"2912\" data-end=\"2931\">Dylan Steinmann<\/strong>, also a standout fly-half for <strong data-start=\"2962\" data-end=\"2978\">Transvalia&#8217;s<\/strong> 1st XV rugby side, was a top performer across the two matches, returning combined bowling figures of 6\/29.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3083\" data-end=\"3379\"><strong data-start=\"3083\" data-end=\"3101\">Fichardtpark<\/strong>&#8216;s victory over the Pieties followed a convincing 37-run win over <strong data-start=\"3169\" data-end=\"3194\">Ho\u00ebrskool Lichtenburg<\/strong> earlier in the day. Captain <strong data-start=\"3223\" data-end=\"3243\">Diederick de Vos<\/strong> led from the front with a composed 54, which laid the foundation for his side&#8217;s 124\/8. They, then, restricted the <em><strong data-start=\"3341\" data-end=\"3352\">Liggies<\/strong> <\/em>to just 87\/9 from their 20 overs.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3381\" data-end=\"3821\"><strong data-start=\"3381\" data-end=\"3393\">Oos-Moot<\/strong> was the fourth team to go two from two. The Pretoria school overcame <strong data-start=\"3484\" data-end=\"3497\">Witteberg<\/strong> by five wickets before grinding out a hard-fought nine-run victory over the Plasies.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the defeat, <strong data-start=\"3607\" data-end=\"3625\">Schalk Rossouw<\/strong>, Merensky&#8217;s captain, who represented the <strong data-start=\"3667\" data-end=\"3690\">Limpopo Impalas u16<\/strong> side at the <strong>CSA National Week<\/strong> in December, impressed with a rapid 65, which was the second-highest individual score across the 14 matches.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Summarised scorecards<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Day Two &#8211;
