\"\"Afternoon rain stopped a vibrant and exciting symphony of energy on Friday, the second day of the Pre-season Basketball Festival<\/strong> at Pretoria Boys High<\/strong>. But, before it fell, the action was even more captivating than it had been on Thursday.<\/p>\n

PHBS A<\/strong> made their mark on the court, winning all of their group matches.<\/p>\n

They followed up wins over St Alban’s College<\/strong> and Crawford College (Pretoria)<\/strong> on the opening day with an impressive dismantling of St John’s College A<\/strong>, romping to a decisive 28-5 victory.<\/p>\n

St Alban’s College also performed exceptionally well in their final group match, cruising to a 66-20 win over Crawford College.<\/p>\n

One of the most eagerly awaited clashes of the festival took place in Pool B,<\/strong> where ESCA<\/strong> faced off against King Edward VII School (KES)<\/strong>. Both had won their two matches on Thursday.<\/p>\n

Their clash didn’t disappoint. High expectations were met and stirring skills displayed in a back-and-forth contest that ended in a narrow 32-31 win for ESCA.<\/p>\n

In another Group B game, The King’s School Linbro Park <\/strong>picked up a comfortable 35-10 win over St John’s College B<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In Pool C, St David’s Marist Inanda<\/strong> edged out Jeppe High School for Boys<\/strong>, snatching a narrow 40-38 win, while St Stithians College <\/strong>had an easier time against PBHS B<\/strong>, winning 31-10.<\/p>\n

The festival concludes on Saturday as scheduled, despite the rain interruptions experienced on Friday afternoon.<\/p>\n
