Photo: Switch Schools SA20 on Facebook.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p data-start=\"149\" data-end=\"431\">The defending Central Region champions in the <strong data-start=\"195\" data-end=\"218\">Switch Schools SA20<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"220\" data-end=\"258\">St Andrew&#8217;s School<\/strong>, and their chief rivals for the weekend&#8217;s playoffs, <strong data-start=\"314\" data-end=\"338\">Ho\u00ebrskool Rustenburg<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"343\" data-end=\"370\">Potchefstroom Gimnasium<\/strong>, all made winning starts on Friday morning in Potchefstroom.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"149\" data-end=\"431\">Relive all the <strong>Switch Schools SA20<\/strong> action on\u00a0<strong>SuperSport Schools &#8211; (www.supersportschools.com)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"433\" data-end=\"721\">At the <strong data-start=\"440\" data-end=\"457\">JB Marks Oval<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"475\" data-end=\"504\">Nikhil Sukraj<\/strong>&#8216;s leg spin proved decisive for St Andrew&#8217;s against <strong data-start=\"529\" data-end=\"551\">Ho\u00ebrskool Kalahari<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>After <strong><em>Saints<\/em> <\/strong>had posted 142\/6, the side from Kuruman was bundled out for just 68 in reply, with Sukraj&#8217;s four overs costing a mere 15 runs while yielding four wickets.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"723\" data-end=\"1166\">A disciplined bowling display from <strong data-start=\"775\" data-end=\"794\">Wilrich Mostert<\/strong> (2\/25) helped to restrict the Bloemfontein outfit to a moderate total after Saints had appeared set for something bigger following a 95-run opening stand between <strong data-start=\"943\" data-end=\"963\">Johnathan Hickley<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"968\" data-end=\"983\">Dean Katzin<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"723\" data-end=\"1166\">Hickley registered the first half-century of the playoff weekend, striking a vital 58 off only 40 deliveries, and Katzin, <a href=\"https:\/\/ssschoolsplus.co.za\/champions-crowned-at-growthpoint-sa-national-junior-squash-champs\/\"><strong>the national u17 squash champion<\/strong><\/a>, weighed in with 39 from 35 before Sukraj took centre stage with the ball to dismantle the Kalahari line-up.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1168\" data-end=\"1608\">On the neighbouring fields at <strong data-start=\"1198\" data-end=\"1223\">North-West University<\/strong>, both <strong data-start=\"1230\" data-end=\"1254\">Ho\u00ebrskool Rustenburg<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"1259\" data-end=\"1286\">Potchefstroom Gimnasium<\/strong> won comfortably.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong><em>Rusties<\/em> <\/strong>accounted for <strong data-start=\"1346\" data-end=\"1366\">St Patrick&#8217;s Christian Brothers College<\/strong>\u00a0on the <strong>Ibbies Oval<\/strong>, while the <em><strong data-start=\"1397\" data-end=\"1408\">Gimmies<\/strong> <\/em>brushed aside <strong data-start=\"1423\" data-end=\"1441\">Ho\u00ebrskool Trio<\/strong> on the main <strong>NWU Oval<\/strong>, with both sides recording five-wicket victories in low-scoring encounters. Rustenburg was set a target of just 81, while the Potch Gim required only 83. Spin, once again, played a central role in those matches.<\/p>\n<p>For Rustenburg, <strong data-start=\"1665\" data-end=\"1680\">Hendri Kemp<\/strong> was outstanding, returning figures of 3\/12 from his four overs, while <strong data-start=\"1763\" data-end=\"1784\">Thian Labuschagne<\/strong> shone with 2\/13. For the Gimmies, opening bowler <strong data-start=\"1825\" data-end=\"1842\">Damian Kruger<\/strong>, ironically a seam bowler, produced the best figures of the opening round, claiming 4\/11 in his four overs.
