The standout performance of the weekend, however, came in the form of a miserly five-wicket haul.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"437\" data-end=\"803\"><strong data-start=\"437\" data-end=\"464\">Die Ho\u00ebrskool Menlopark<\/strong> maintained their perfect start to the season with a second victory in as many weeks, convincingly beating <strong data-start=\"586\" data-end=\"610\">Ho\u00ebrskool Eldoraigne <\/strong>by 52 runs at Menlopark on Saturday<strong data-start=\"586\" data-end=\"610\">.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>An outstanding all-round contribution from <strong data-start=\"723\" data-end=\"742\">Monr\u00e9 Koekemoer<\/strong> fuelled their success. He\u00a0first made his mark with the bat, top-scoring with a fluent 52 while sharing a crucial 93-run fourth-wicket partnership with <strong data-start=\"965\" data-end=\"988\">Jacques de<\/strong> Villiers, who weighed in with 42, in Menlo&#8217;s 217 all out.<\/p>\n<p>Both batsmen fell in quick succession, but <strong data-start=\"1064\" data-end=\"1082\">Murray Hofmeyr<\/strong>, with an unbeaten 37, ensured the <em><strong>Parkies<\/strong><\/em>&#8216; innings finished strongly.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1147\" data-end=\"1434\">Hofmeyr then claimed 3\/22 in 6.4 overs to help Menlopark successfully defend their total. He was well supported by <strong data-start=\"1278\" data-end=\"1291\">Koekemoer<\/strong>, who took the new ball and returned figures of 3\/36, while <strong data-start=\"1351\" data-end=\"1370\">Verster Richter<\/strong> was the third member of the Menlo attack to pick up three wickets. He finished with 3\/53.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1436\" data-end=\"1593\"><strong data-start=\"1452\" data-end=\"1466\">Vince Lotz<\/strong>, with 34, and <strong data-start=\"1476\" data-end=\"1491\">Logan Early<\/strong>, with 30, led the <em><strong>Eldos<\/strong><\/em>&#8216; run chase, but it ended on 165 all out.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1595\" data-end=\"2005\">It was a tough weekend for <strong data-start=\"1637\" data-end=\"1661\">Ho\u00ebrskool Rustenburg<\/strong>, who suffered back-to-back defeats playing away from home. On Saturday, they lost at <strong data-start=\"1705\" data-end=\"1731\">Ho\u00ebrskool Kempton Park<\/strong>. On Sunday, they came up short against <strong data-start=\"1748\" data-end=\"1775\">Potchefstroom Volkskool<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Kempton Park registered the first win of their campaign with an 81-run triumph, led by their prolific opener <strong data-start=\"1902\" data-end=\"1920\">Sheldon Kruger<\/strong>, whose commanding 70 was the cornerstone of <em><strong>Kempies<\/strong><\/em>&#8216; push past the 200-run mark.\u00a0<strong data-start=\"2034\" data-end=\"2049\">Hendri Kemp <\/strong>removed four batsmen, claiming 4\/55, while <strong data-start=\"2034\" data-end=\"2049\">Xander Wenhold <\/strong>nabbed a quick 3\/7<strong data-start=\"2034\" data-end=\"2049\">.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The home side&#8217;s bowlers then took control, with <strong>Ewald van der Linde<\/strong> leading a trio who took two wickets each. <em><strong>Rusties<\/strong><\/em>&#8216; <strong data-start=\"2165\" data-end=\"2185\">Henlo van Rooyen<\/strong> fought valiantly for his 51, but he received sparse support, and the visitors were dismissed for 120.<\/p>\n<p>The following day, <strong data-start=\"2380\" data-end=\"2407\">Potchefstroom Volkskool<\/strong> inflicted another heavy defeat on Rustenburg.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1595\" data-end=\"2005\">Batting first, <em><strong>Volkies <\/strong><\/em>posted 264 all out. <strong>Theunis Nel<\/strong> led the way with 53, while five other players made scores in the twenties and thirties to add substance to the home team&#8217;s total. Despite their batting success, <strong>Callie Fryer <\/strong>excelled for Rusties, knocking over 4\/17.<\/p>\n<p>Rustenburg&#8217;s reply never truly challenged Volkskool&#8217;s healthy total, despite <strong>Tristan van der Linde <\/strong>scoring exactly 50.<\/p>\n<p><strong data-start=\"2451\" data-end=\"2470\">Johandr\u00e9 Jacobs<\/strong> produced a superb spell of 5\/18 to undermine the visitors&#8217; innings.
