They responded with a resilient showing to secure a hard-fought 6-4 victory.<\/p>\n<p>Senior players. <strong>Tiago Williams<\/strong>, <strong>Murray Copeland<\/strong>, <strong>Adam Ball<\/strong>, and <strong>Liam Nurse <\/strong>all had good run-outs to lead the Makhanda school to another win. Skipper and goalkeeper, <strong>Jacques Du Toit<\/strong>, came through in the clutch numerous times, pulling off good saves to keep his side in front.<\/p>\n<p>While Woodridge lost against St Andrew\u2019s, they picked up points later in the day, beating <strong>Hudson Park<\/strong> 11-4.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pearson High<\/strong> was also on the money against Hudson Park, with their victory coming by a 9-4 margin. That left them in second place in their group after Friday&#8217;s action, based on goal difference.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Waterpolo - Reddam House vs Paarl Boys&amp;apos; High - Grey High Waterpolo Festival - 30 January 2026\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/DmXUWcEO8Y4?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>While Hudson suffered two defeats, they also bagged their first win at the tournament after edging the <strong>Grey Invitational<\/strong> side 12-9.<\/p>\n<p>In Pool B, it\u2019s a battle between <strong>Reddam House Constantia<\/strong> and <strong>Glenwood House<\/strong> for second place after both went down 8-10 to Grey on day two, which left the home side sitting comfortably atop the pool.<\/p>\n<p>Coach <strong>Ridge Snelling<\/strong>&#8216;s troops didn&#8217;t have it easy and had to dig deep in both matches, but they came through with the desired wins.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dane Paterson<\/strong>, who leads the top goal scorer chart with 13 goals, was influential in both outings along with <strong>Christian Horne<\/strong>, <strong>Caleb Levey<\/strong>, <strong>James De Lange<\/strong>, and shot stopper <strong>Gavin Peinke<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Waterpolo - Grey High School vs Glenwood House - Grey High Waterpolo Festival - 30 January 2026\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/GyfalvRdURE?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Reddam picked up two wins over <strong>Stirling High<\/strong> and <strong>Paarl Boys&#8217; High<\/strong>, while Glenwood House held off Stirling 8-6.<\/p>\n<p>Their talisman, <strong>Luca Whitehead<\/strong>, was on the scoresheet. He&#8217;s a key driver in his side\u2019s quest for glory.<\/p>\n<p>Day three&#8217;s action kicks off with a Pool A clash between Pearson High and St Andrew&#8217;s.<\/p>\n<p>After the completion of the group stage matches, the competition heads into the quarterfinals.
