Three determined and battle\u2011tested sides converge in Girls Pool B of the Switch Schools SA20 Final Showdown, each carrying strong credentials, compelling storylines and ambitions of going deep in the national event.<\/p>\n

Nomandi Junior Secondary, Queens High School and the Nkowankowa Girls Hub bring contrasting strengths\u2014defiant bowling, all\u2011round firepower and hardened experience\u2014to what promises to be a tightly contested group.<\/p>\n

Nomandi Junior Secondary School<\/strong> arrive with renewed belief after a nerve\u2011tightening four\u2011run victory over Woodridge in the Eastern Cape final.<\/p>\n

Their identity is clear: they defend totals with ferocity. Coach Vuyo Gabela\u2019s<\/strong> side prides itself on disciplined bowling, sharp fielding and a refusal to crack under pressure\u2014traits that saw them dominate Stirling High by 105 runs in their provincial decider.<\/p>\n

With young talents Yolanda Mdumba<\/strong>, Yonga Tenjwa<\/strong> and Olwethu Njani<\/strong> spearheading their charge, Nomandi enter the national stage driven by the scars and lessons of last year\u2019s campaign. For them, the mission carries deeper meaning\u2014pride, community, and proving they belong among the country\u2019s elite.<\/p>\n

Queens High School<\/strong>, representing Central Gauteng, step into their first national appearance with irresistible momentum. After eliminating defending champions Steyn City in the provincial phase, Queens surged through the Central Gauteng Lions and Gauteng\u2013Mpumalanga playoffs with flair and confidence.<\/p>\n

Their engine room includes all\u2011rounder Mankwane Moriri<\/strong>, captain Karabo Matlaila<\/strong>, and seam threats Tshepi Choma<\/strong>, Thanya Nkuna<\/strong> and Hlekani Chisane<\/strong>. Coach Jabulane Manatsa<\/strong> has emphasised fitness, adaptability and the ability to sustain intensity across all 20 overs. The Johannesburg outfit now enters Pretoria with belief\u2014and nothing to lose.<\/p>\n

Completing the group is the Nkowankowa Girls Hub<\/strong>, the only team to have ever lifted the Northern Region crown. Their experience is unmatched: 11 of their 13 players<\/strong> return from the 2025 squad that reached the national finals, and every one of them is a provincial cricketer.<\/p>\n

Led by captain Respect Mabasa<\/strong> and anchored by SA u19 star Shelfa Mukhari<\/strong>, Nkowankowa blend battle\u2011hardened maturity with new energy, thanks to highly rated 13\u2011year\u2011olds Nsovo Nkuna<\/strong> and Lunghelo Malungana<\/strong>. Coach Blessing Mabunda<\/strong> believes his squad is better prepared, more confident and ready \u201cto make waves\u201d in Pretoria.<\/p>\n
