Photo: <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/KingEdwardVIISchool\">King Edward VII<\/a><\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The hosts, <strong>King Edward VII<\/strong> <strong>(KES)<\/strong>, along with <strong>Westville Boys&#8217; High<\/strong>, <strong>Pearson High,<\/strong> and <strong>Maritzburg<\/strong> <strong>College<\/strong>, ended day three of the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ssschoolsplus.co.za\/grey-college-and-parktown-come-alive-at-kes-easter-festival\/\">KES Easter Festival<\/a><\/strong> in Johannesburg on Sunday still unbeaten.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/KESEasterFest2026\"><strong>Catch Monday&#8217;s action LIVE on SuperSport Schools<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">That quartet was far from its best, but did just enough to seal victories on the <strong>Weinberg AstroTurf<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">KES picked up arguably their biggest scalp of the season so far, beating high-flying <strong>Northwood School<\/strong> 2-1 in the match of the day.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The <em><strong>Red Sticks<\/strong><\/em> had played to a 1-1 draw with <strong>St Andrew\u2019s College<\/strong> the previous day, but they came out looking a different outfit.\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">They were full of energy and attacked for the majority of the game, eventually scoring through <\/span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Kamohelo Tsoka <\/span><\/strong>and<strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> Andrew Arouca<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> in the third chukka.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Northwood left it too late and replied in the dying moments through a short corner strike by their talisman <strong>Luc Boyall<\/strong>. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"><strong>Westville Boys\u2019 High<\/strong> was also in top form on the day, beating<strong> Grey College<\/strong> 4-2.\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The boys from KwaZulu-Natal were on cruise control from the opening chukka and built scoreboard pressure throughout the clash.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"><strong>Luke Lambert<\/strong> opened the scoring early before <strong>Keagan Wessels<\/strong> pulled one back for Grey College late in the first chukka.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"><strong>Bo Mokoena<\/strong>, who has been in fine form, got Westville back into the lead before <strong>Luqmann Mahomed<\/strong> buried a scorching goal to make it 3-1 at the break.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The <em><strong>Griffins<\/strong><\/em>, led by coach <strong>Harold Siyaya<\/strong>, then made it four in the third chukka after an<strong> Ethan James<\/strong> thunderbolt drag flick. Grey scored their second with just four minutes remaining, but Westville kept them at bay the rest of the way.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">In other matches, Maritzburg College mustered a 1-0 win over <strong>Parktown Boys\u2019 High<\/strong>, while Pearson edged out <strong>Glenwood High<\/strong> 1-0 in a highly entertaining clash.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"><strong>Ho\u00ebrskool Waterkloof<\/strong> was one of the big winners on the day, thumping <strong>Dale College<\/strong> 8-0.\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">It was an emphatic performance from the Pretoria side, for whom <strong>Henry Smit<\/strong> netted a hat-trick, and <strong>Lucas Regardt<\/strong> bagged a brace.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"><strong>Malan van den Berg<\/strong> was also on the scoresheet, along with <strong>Reno Schoonwinkel<\/strong> and skipper <strong>Ruben Haasbroek<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"><strong>St John&#8217;s College<\/strong> continued their impressive run at the festival, beating Makhanda&#8217;s <strong>St Andrew&#8217;s College <\/strong>3-1.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Three matches ended in stalemates.
