That’s because they shared 18-18 and 14-14 draws in 2025. Bishops was the most recent winner, but even then, there was almost nothing to separate the teams, with the home side triumphing 12-10 on the Piley Rees in August 2024.

SACS will be licking their wounds. Since opening their season with back-to-back wins, they’ve suffered three consecutive losses – most recently a narrow 20-18 defeat to Hoërskool Durbanville.

Bishops, meanwhile, will have an opportunity to kill two birds with one stone. Should they win, it would mean a first southern suburbs’ scalp of the season for the side, and also a return to winning ways after they fell to their first loss of the season at the St John’s Easter Festival, going down 26-39 to Graeme College.

Both outfits boast inside centres who run good lines at speed, and are very handy playmakers, capable of finding space both for themselves and their teammates to exploit.

SACS’s James Sale proved his abilities with two tries against Durbies last weekend, while Bishops’ Boytjé Fyfer has also delivered many performances of a similar calibre in the past.

Based on recent contests between the rivals, there should be little between them at the final whistle.

Milnerton High vs Hoërskool Brackenfell

Milnerton High lost their sixth match in a row against Hoërskool Parel Vallei on Saturday.
