\"MontpellierTeamBrive\"Greypellier – oh wait sorry Montpellier<\/strong> defeated Brive on Sunday at home in the GGL Stadium – Complexe Yves du Manoir with no less than five old boys from South Africa’s famous rugby factory, Grey College<\/strong> of Bloemfontein.<\/span><\/p>\n

Montpellier won the Top 14 Orange encounter comfortably by 30 points to 6. <\/span><\/p>\n

Three Greyt players – Cobus Reinach<\/strong> (scrumhalf), Jan Serfontein<\/strong> (inside centre), and Johan Goosen<\/strong> (outside centre) were in the starting line-up, while Bismarck du Plessis<\/strong> (hooker) and Henry Immelman<\/strong> (utility back) made appearances from the bench.<\/span><\/p>\n

Reinach set up two tries in the victory, of which Serfontein who was also on fire provided the finish one of these tries. Du Plessis made an appearance from the bench, but Immelman was replaced on the bench before the match. <\/span><\/p>\n

Reinach scored a brace of tries a week earlier in his side’s victory over Agen. <\/span><\/p>\n

This was also Goosen’s first match since February. Nico Janse van Rensburg<\/strong>, alumni of Affies, also started at lock for Montpellier.<\/span><\/p>\n

Montpellier invested in Grey College’s rugby through the Badawi Legacy Trust<\/strong> since 2017 after the owner of the French club, Mohed Altrad<\/strong>, was impressed by the demeanor of the players from the school who played for his club.
